Disney World - Magic Kingdom at CHRISTMAS!!

- Disney World is magical all year round... but there is even more special magic at Christmas! I have my granddaughter Sophia and we are doing Christmas right at Magic Kingdom!
We leave our Disney resort (Art of Animation) nice and early and get into the park at 8:15 and get a lot done early in the morning!! We have Genie+ and make the most of it to get in as many rides as possible. Also, we watch the schedule to meet lots of characters!
When it is time for Mickey's Very Mery Christmas Party, we change into our special party shirts and go to the front of the park to check-in. Now we get to really enjoy all of the Christmas festivities!!

You and your daughter are so adorable at Disney together! Love how it’s for all ages.
Spending time with the grandkids is the best time! You get to see things all over again, but now through their eyes! As I get older, it becomes more important to me. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Your closing thoughts are on point- expensive and crowded! Oh and COLD! My 8 year old and I went to the 12/17 party and never got to ride 7 dwarves. I’m skipping the party next year and may just go to MK during the day on a party day.

100% agree on the price and crowds. Was like $1000 for the tickets in the day, $800 for the party and then we had the $850 VIP cost. Prices for Disney are getting out of control
Went to Disneyland Paris in 2000 i think, drove up from Madrid all day and night, arrived at the New York hotel greated by a big black guy with a golden luggage trolly thank god i was knackered , just in time for the room to be vacant , we walked into the park i thought it would be corny, but i found myself crying when i saw the kids faces light up watching the parade , the next day i booked the kids in for a Disney breakfast with characters and later on there was a total eclipse of the sun which made the park silent and calm.

Rope drop and the holiday party, that's hard core! Can't wait to see if she liked Guardians at Epcot, that's my favorite ride. And I agree on the price for the party, it's way too expensive and oversold. 2019 the Halloween party was $204 for two people, in October! We never buy the extra add ons, but being passholders we are there often enough we don't need to do everything. Being at Fort Wilderness with the RV is so convenient to pop over to Magic Kingdom.

Nov 18th we rope dropped MK & did Peter Pans flight, then onto Haunted Mansion (walk on), Big Thunder mountain (walk on), Pirates of the Caribbean (walk on). We did all that by 9:30

What a great day! My SIL and I did the party this year. Great time but.......I soooooo agree with your assessment of the price. It's too much. We had bad rain the night we were there. Thank goodness it stopped so that the stage show, parade and fireworks could happen but......I kept looking at all of the soaking wet families and couldn't help but to feel sorry for them. I only paid for myself and I was so disappointed. I can't imagine how I would have felt if I had paid for my entire family to be there. I'm a Disney girl too but sometimes lately, it's hard to justify the cost.

Yeah, Disney Parks are Really an underrated place to spend Christmas (we spend Christmas, 2019 at Epcot)…And it’s not just Florida-, I live near Disneyland and we discovered, in 2015, that California Adventure is actually a Fabulous place to spend Christmas at and isn’t that crowded, either…even now, when Avengers Campus has been open, Christmas Day is Not that horribly crowded

Combined our household pulls down over 250K a year... and we think Disney is way over priced. We were pass holders for 20+ years here in SoCal. It's not worth it anymore. So much more in the world to see for that money
