In all states where BJP cadre is strong on the ground on its own, BJP fared very well. In states where BJP relies heavily on RSS for ground campaign, BJP lost dearly upto 70+ seats.
The argument that BJP gave away tickets to defectors and lost 69 seats is absurd. When local aspirants have less chances of winning, every party and even BJP resorts to bringing in alternatives. Given the 10 year successful track record BJP achieved in Governance with not an iota of anti-incumbency, BJP & RSS must have worked together so that any and every BJP candidate will win the elections. Instead, RSS chose to stay out to TEACH lesson to BJP. That's how arrogant RSS is.

RSS stakeholders should answer what if BJP had lost the elections to INDIA alliance and even other PM aspirants (may be sri Gadkari ji) could not have claimed outside support of others to become PM. This would have risked the country's existence.
Crazy to risk this level of worrisome games when the whole western world is vying to loot and see Bharat decimated.
In the past decades to become party head and PM candidate in BJP, the individual needed RSS's nod. Probably in last few years, the BJP high command may have become closed circle and with Nadda's strategy of opening gates to all kinds of people from Congress, other parties may have irked RSS at some point.
RSS has done this several times. They should also introspect about what their role is in the political fabric.My family has several RSS members. My family has been a part since its inception in 1924 after the Moplah massacre in Kerala. These people work silently and steadily to help all sections of the society irrespective of caste race sex economical status or religion. They don't go around trumpeting their activities like the church or people like Yusuf Ali, etc. Similarly, they place great value on education, and it is not just religious education. Every single RSS member will be highly qualified, usually with post graduation or doctorate. They will hold jobs other than just be a part of RSS. Unlike in Communism and Congress parties. You can easily identify an RSS member in any crowd. They will stand out in their perennial attitude of silent watch fulnes and absolute stillness. They will never voice an opinion or get drawn into an argument unless they are asked to. All this is inculcated from a very young age. Just compare this with Rahul Gandhi .
However, present RSS leadership leaves a lot to be desired. They want to be a part of social media. Hence, they indulge in politics. In 1984, they played politics and supported Rajiv Gandhi, and BJP ended up with just 2 sests. In 2004 ,similarly, they played politics, and Vajpayee lost . These elections also they did the same. My cousins in RSS who are usually actively campaigning for local BJP candidates, did not step out of the house this time. They were instructed not to by the RSS leadership. This is truly shameful. They have actually betrayed the Hindus by this action, not the BJP or Modi. As we know, Modi can just walk away even now to the Himalayas and forget about Bharath and the Hindus. But who will be there to continue the work done to restore the hindu pride. Which of these fools Sharda or Bhagwat or Jagdish Shetty are capable of making all these changes occur. Do any of them have the Chanakya buddhhi to multi-task ,foresee various dangers and act in order to prevent it. For instance ,does anyone realise how brilliantly Modi charmed the world leaders in his first term so that he could remove 370 without any problems. Would Ratan Sharda have managed that. He would not even have thought of the need for establishing good and trustworthy relationship amongst various countries especially the Islamic nations. Good governance is a skill that cannot be taught. It is a born instinct. That is something Modi has and we are lucky that he is there at this point of time in Indian history to make sure Bharath and Hindu civilization gets the best . Ratan Shardas and Mohan Bhagwats and Jagdish Shettys will be confined to the dustbin of history while Modi will be remembered forever for the pride he restored to hindus and to India as a whole. All these people are sitting up straight with their tails in the air because the world has accepted India, its culture ,its ancient history and civilization. The rest of the world also want to be a part of Indian success. RSS cannot digest this.
Arnab seems more hurt by Bhagwat statement. Poor guy. He is trying to put RSS in a dock...loyalty to individuals rather than what is right is his hallmark

Leadership of RSS blames the leadership of BJP. This is very sad. To make headway to enter into the new areas,the local influencers are necessary to be inducted. Of course it is risky in the electoral politics. But the voter base has to be increased and the BJP leadership is confident of course correction. Off course the third class results BJP achieved are due to 1) over confidence with 400 paar and resultant complacence in the party cadre 2) doing next to nothing for Hindus, only Ram Mandir is not enuf- what about freeing temples from Govt control, what about the prosecution of people responsible for killing sadhus in palghar....Bjp answer will be SIT...thats not done 3) Leaving everything to Supreme court and not using power, learn from DMK and TMC how to use power 4) wrong candidates in UP 5) "Congress is a master at deception and BJP is a failure at perception" - Prof AR, JNU. 6) trying to portray and useless secular image 7) Hemanta Sarma is clear in this understanding that muslims dnt vote for bjp and this is what BJP in "lutyens" delhi doesnt understand 8) the nupur sharma case was an anathema on bjp, absolute shame on bjp 9) bjp's absolute failure to protect its cadre in West Bengal. When hardcore Hindutva party Shiva Sena deserted BJP despite winning in prepoll alliance with BJP for forming govt with anti Hindutva parties what is left for BJP except accepting defectors to form a stable govt. Shinde would not have split SS and cross over to BJP if BJP has not shown the willingness. What ever is the result of elections finally RSS could only make minor impact that is 30-40 seats which is the gap between majority number and what BJP’s got. RSS should understand that they should not keep their own intetests above the interest of Hindus. They should concentrate on developing young leaders in states. Barring very few people, leadership quality at state level is pathetic. Most of them are parasites latched on to the help from RSS organisation help and charisma of Modi & Amit Shah. INDI block compares RSS with PFI, ISIS etc and the first thing they do is ban RSS. Hope RSS keeps this in mind.

Very true Arnab ,it very much looked like RSS was attacking Modiji .RSS does not look like a true friend .
The behaviour and comments of various RSS leaders were badly timed and should have NEVER been made public. Whatever their differences with BJP leadership it should have been dealt with BEFORE the elections. Their whole attitude and behaviour is extremely disappointing. An organisation that tomtoms the motto Rashtra sarvopari decided to put their egos before national interest. Anyone with minimal interest in the politics of the country knew WHAT the stakes were and how high they were in this election. RSS can't claim to be ignorant. They have chosen to stand with forces determined to disrupt the peace and prosperity of the country. Now they are trying to do damage control. It is no secret that Mohan Bhagwat wanted NG and not Modiji as PM candidate since before 2014. He may be head of RSS but we are a democracy and he should respect will of the people and not keep pushing his candidate. If RSS chooses to continue on this path it would be better that they change their name to SSS = Svayam seva sangh. Unless they prefer SS = Soros Squad.
By their actions and comments they have failed not just BJP or Modiji they have failed the rashtra and it's people. They have shown themselves to be no better than those who have vilified them for decades. They have chosen to support forces that wish to harm the interests of the country and its people all to satisfy their petty egos. Sanctimonious lectures will not undo the harm done. I had great respect for the sangh parivar but not anymore. They have proved themselves to be as selfish, petty and egotistical as any sadakchhaap neta.
Sharda ji very clever but public is more intelligent he must understand.Many times what RSS says is not convincimg.specially related with Muslim backward reservation is not issues should not be in election. Relating to speaking of bad language he suggested leaders of BJP no to do so while intolerant abuse to BJP even RSS too have been repeatedly abused then to whom he suggest.BJP is not fair .RSS is parent organisation any open criticism must not be out to public. The man like who has been framed in bomblast dare to comment on BJP .How funny is that . Something fishy is there between BJP and RSS.Early it is mutually converse and settle.
Dr. Swamy was definitely against Modi and vowed to see that he loses and even mentioned in an interview that they (the RSS), knew how to bring down the BJP numbers.
Also, Dr. Swamy is always expressing in his rants against Modi, that the core group of RSS is not pleased with Modi and want his downfall, though not of the BJP Party. Dr. Swamy is the main instigator of such negativity and was hoping that Modi would be removed so that Dr. Swamy could be instated as a Minister.
BJP and RSS must unite. We should keep aside our ego's and pride. Let us save BJP & RSS cadre and support Modi to make India as Hindu Rashtra.

What can you expect from the people whose birth is fathered by Babar and Aurangzeb. These hybrids have been decievi ng simple Hindus over centuries. They did it to Modi Ji in Gujarat and they have done it to him in UP and Maharashtra.
Ahankar means ego. Nothing wrong. Modiji is indeed a unique PM. But people have many problems and local issues mattered. Getting votes in name of a Modiji was good but the middle level workers did not do their jobs. That was ahankar
Simple solution as far BJP is concerned dismiss the failed Jagat prakash Nadda even from ministry , inducting Nadda sent a negative message to the Supporters of BJP.
Arnab please ask him didn’t RSS support silently the rebels like Swamy who always criticise PM and FM….even in states like TN it is very open..they openly criticise the state president and create confusion
Sharda is a big mouth. He doesn’t have to wash the dirty laundry in public of RSS and BJP. This sort of discussion should be done in private rooms and office.
Mr. Sharda comes through as an erudite, well meaning and sensitive person as well as a deeply committed RSS sewak. Though he is a seasoned political observer with strong views, one senses integrity in him.
I have never been a big fan of Republic TV because of Arnab's heckling style of journalism. i find it hard to sit through his interviews because of its court room style histrionics. He is well informed , articulate and daring. But if only he could listen more I feel he could lead his guests into revealing more truths than they would otherwise divulge.its simple psychology?
But he ends up putting them on the defensive with his pugilistic style ~
However much Sharada ji might try , people got clear message that Bhagwat reprimanded Modi ji.

BJP must know the difference.
Let me simplify it . BJP went wrong by disassociating with RSS as a part of their Muslim outreach since the BJP was going all out to split the Muslim vote by investing in the Pasmanda section.
