@@darkplasticbag2382 Ugh I was binge watching TH-cam videos and I have totally forgotten about this one. D'oh! 😆 I guess I'd never made it to this place again if it weren't for your comment, which popped up in my notifications. Another thing is, I live in Germany and I think the German synchronization would take away much of the spice. Ebonics is Ebonics, man. Take it as it is or forget the whole movie.
This movie is awesome!!! I love it in every way, and I was introduced to Public Enemy through this film!! I saw them perform twice, and I got to shake Chuck D's hand at some point!! Just a 100% awesome and great movie
Yeah, though tbh while I agree with this almost every single character here was in the grey area. One moment I’m like “oh yeah they’ve got the right idea” next moment they’re filled with hate and hypocrisy, example being with Sal telling his son off for being racist but then also calling hip hop “jungle music” when he got pissed
@@Hanabi_Han That's how life is, no one is righteous all the time, and for the most part no one is a shitheel all the time. This movie blew my mind when I saw it the first time when it came out. I didn't really understand what the police were about, and I had not experienced that kind of racial conflict.
I’m white and I’m 31 years old. I just watched the movie again for like the 10th time. The interesting thing I saw this time is. It’s hot in the movie and then Sal throws money at Mookie in the end. Let us think about this? We all live in a heaven or a hell. So YAH is the only power that can pull us out of our heaven or hell and is the only power that can send or keep us in a heaven or a hell. We always have a choice in what we do to make better or worse choices. Until we run out of time or options and have been judged and placed unto or own fate. Nothing is permanent until YAH makes the choice to make our situation permanent.
This film approaches the topic of ethnicities and communities in such an interlectual way. Kind of a shame to see you leave racist shallow comments going against the fundamental message of the movie.
I love this movie but in reality the one who started the whole shit was Mookie. it wasn’t Sals fault he was just defending himself it was the cops even worst Mookie made that shit worst by throwing that trash can on Sals window. PERIOD. at the end if i was Sal I would not have given Mookie Shit when it came down to his money. I’m hispanic & Im saying it. It was Mookies Fault.

Great movie. This trailer fails to capture the energy of the picture, though. It drags.
I disagree. I think it’s a great trailer that represents the film very well.

Uhhh, I agree with Sal. It's his restaurant so he can put whoever he likes on the wall. Plus the music was loud.
This movie reminded me of The Summer of Saint Floyd🤮
