I have a strong and perfect plea:
A great High Priest whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands.
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heav’n He stands,
No tongue can bid me thence depart;
no tongue can bid me thence depart.
2. When Satan tempts me to despair,
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there,
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God, the Just, is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me;
to look on Him and pardon me.
3. Behold Him there, the risen Lamb!
My perfect spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM,
The King of Glory and of Grace.
One with Himself,
I cannot die;
My soul is purchased by His blood.
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ, my Savior and my God;

So happy I found this channel. I've been yearning for some traditional style hymn music. The new age modern Christian music was just not touching a cord with me anymore.

I agree with adding that there could be beautiful contemporary worship songs sung if done the way Hymns of Grace do it. But since it is with full blown pagan music, drums and all that stuff, it's just terrible. Music can really wreck even the godliest and most God honoring song.

That's cause most modern stuff is man focused/centered instead of God focused/centered.
@@luboshcamber1992The problem with a lot of the contemporary music is that it is from false churches. The songs may be good songs, but should we be singing what comes from false worship?
Not because of the instruments but because of the false premise.

I always read this passage to mean for Israel, considering the previous verses prophecy is the light coming to the Gentiles and Christ's coming to save us. The Jews then say "God has forsaken us!" and God says the above verse to them. Beautiful.

GOD'S BLESSINGS TO ALL NATIONS AND PEOPLES
Gospel! The good news about Jesus Christ and salvation from judgment on our sins. Jesus dined with His disciples the night before He went to the cross. Mark 14:22-25. Jesus and His disciples were eating a Passover meal together at the Last Supper. After partaking of bread and wine (His body and His blood), the Bible mentions the hymn Jesus sang with His disciples. “And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.” Mark 14:26. What were they singing on such an occasion? PRAISE! Psalms 113-118.
THE GOOD NEWS
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me." John 14:6
Jesus Christ loves us! We believe this! John 3:16-17. We believe Him and who He is! He is our Savior! GOD THE SON! ONLY HE SAVES.
Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast."
JESUS GAVE HIS LIFE FOR US AND LIVES AGAIN!
1 Corinthians 15: 3 "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
Blood coming from his body, NAKED, hanging on that cross like Roman torture weapon! What a Lord God and Savior! He had to. HE is God the Son. Only His sinless blood could pay for all our sins. 1 John 2:1-2.
He died on our behalf! We believe in Him and who He is, trusting the shedding of His blood as payment for ALL our sins, and His burial and resurrection from the dead the third day for our eternal life! John 20:24-31. HE LIVES EVERMORE!
We can live forever through Him. God forgives our sins through Him otherwise our sins will prevent us from living in Glory with Him and our family in the faith the Bible describes. We study to show ourselves approved in wisdom and further truths about Him! We are in a family! God's family. CHRIST'S BRIDE! We got to know Jesus Christ better and better!
Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more than, now justified by his blood, we will be saved from wrath through him."
HE LIVES! JESUS LIVES!

This was special as it reminded me of Romans 5:10, 8:31-34, and Hebrews 9:24-28. The church has only one priest and He mediates now on behalf of all who truly believe. This is why Paul says that unless Christ is risen we are "yet in our sins." We need His mediation where He shows the work of the cross on behalf of the saved.

@@pngure I hear you. In Luke 16 we read of a rich man with no name and a beggar named Lazarus. Augustine says the rich man is not named because the omniscient Christ is reading from the Lamb's Book of Life. Elsewhere we read in scripture that we should rejoice above all that our names are in the Book of Life and that this is more important than even the power to cast out demons.

To worship God in song the focus needs to be on Him, not on our feelings or emotions- this song totally shows the difference. All praise to God alone!
