দর্শক। এই যে ঘর, ঘরের আসবাবপত্র, খাট, ঘরের দেয়ালজুড়ে ফুলপাতার নকশা দেখছেন; সবকিছুই কিন্তু মাটির তৈরি। এবং যার হাতে এসবের সৃষ্টি, তিনি একজন নারী। তার নেই কোনো প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শিক্ষা। সহজাত এই শিল্পী রাজশাহীর মোহনপুর উপজেলার ঝালপুকুর গ্রামের বাসিন্দা। ছোটবেলা থেকেই মাটি নিয়ে খেলতে ভালোবাসেন কল্পনা কিসকু। শখের বশে মাটির দিয়ে এটা সেটা বানানোর চেষ্টা করতে করতে হয়ে ওঠেন অজান্তেই হয়ে ওঠেন মাটির শিল্পী।
গান শুনতে ও গাইতে পছন্দ করেন কল্পনা কিসকু। অভাবের সংসারে একসময় স্বামী রতন বেসরার কাছে রেডিও আবদার করেন। স্বামীর দেয়া উপহার সেই রেডিওর কোনো এক অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে জানতে পারেন, মাটির বাড়ি সুন্দর পরিপাটি করে সাজালেও অনেক সুন্দর লাগে। যেখানে দামি আসবাবের দরকার নেই। যা মনে গেঁথে যায় কল্পনা কিসকুর। এরপর ২০০৯ সালে নিজ হাতে নির্মাণ করেন দৃষ্টিনন্দন মাটির বাড়ি।
তিন কক্ষ বিশিষ্ট বাড়িটির ওপরে টিনের চালা। মাটি দিয়ে নির্মিত প্রতিটি ঘরের দরজা, জানালা ও দেয়ালের ওপরের অংশেও মাটি দিয়ে করা হয়েছে লতাপাতা-ফুল আর ময়ূরের নকশা। ঘরের আড়ার কাঠগুলোও মাটি দিয়ে ঢাকা। আলপনায় সাজানো প্রতিটি দেয়াল। এমনকি বাহারি নকশায় ভরা খাটটিও বানিয়েছেন মাটি দিয়েই। প্রতিটি ঘরে দেয়াল কেটে করেছেন মাটির শোকেস। এর বাইরে চাল-আটা রাখার পাত্র, টিভি, ফ্যান রাখার স্টান্ডও মাটির তৈরি।
কল্পনা কিসকুর স্বামী রতন বেসরা ফেরি করে ভাঙারি জিনিসপত্র কিনে বিক্রি করেন। অভাবের সংসারের হাল ধরতে ছোট ছেলে পড়াশোনায় বেশিদূর এগোতে না পারলেও বড় ছেলে পড়ছেন রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ইসলামিক স্টাডিজ বিভাগে।
শারীরিক অসুস্থতাজনিত কারণে কল্পনা কিস্কু আর দশজন আদিবাসী নারীর মত বাড়ির বাইরে কাজে যান না। গৃহস্থলির কাজ করেই সময় কাটে তার। তাই হাতে থাকা অঢেল সময় ব্যয় করে আপন মহিমায় সাজিয়েছেন নিজের চারপাশ। কল্পনা কিসকু স্বপ্ন, ঐতিহ্যের অংশ হিসেবে টিকে থাকবে তার মাটির বাড়ি।
Dear audience. This is the house, the furniture, the bed, the flower design on the walls of the house; Everything is made of clay. And the one who created all this is a woman. He has no formal education. This talented artist is a resident of Jhalpukur village of Mohanpur upazila of Rajshahi.
Kalpana Kisku loves to play with clay since childhood. While trying to make this and that with clay as a hobby, he unknowingly became a clay artist.
Kalpana Kisku likes to listen to music and sing. Once in the world of scarcity, Swami asked Ratan Besra for a radio. The husband's gift can be found through one of the radio programs, the mud house looks very beautiful even if it is neatly decorated. Where expensive furniture is not needed. Which gets stuck in Kalpana Kisku's mind. Then in 2009 Drishtinandan built the mud house with his own hands.
Tin shed on top of three room house. The doors, windows and upper part of the walls of every house made of clay are also decorated with foliage-flowers and peacock designs. The timbers around the house are also covered with earth. Every wall decorated in Alpana. Even the cot filled with bahari design is made with clay. Clay showcases cut into the walls of each room. Apart from this, rice-flour container, TV, fan stand are also made of clay.
Kalpana Kisku's husband Ratan Besra ferries and buys and sells broken goods. Although the younger son could not progress far in his studies to keep up with the poor family, the elder son is studying in the Department of Islamic Studies at Rajshahi University.
Due to physical ailments, Kalpana Kisku does not work outside the home like ten other tribal women. He spends his time doing housework. So, spending the abundant time in his hand, he decorated his surroundings in his glory. Kalpana Kisku Swapna, his mud house will survive as part of the tradition.
