Hook is only there because of Neoptism! He really isn't qualified to be in that 8 man tag! He is so limited of wrestling skills! He can't talk, he does a suplex and a half Nelson! Looks like he is wrestling in 1950s territory days where they would hold a headlock 20 minutes!
It was botched for sure and I don't know if it is all Aubry or the cameraman in a spot to really catch how oblivious a ref has to be at times when the script calls for it.
Refs have selective tunnel vision (or a -10 to perception checks and Edwards spent her points on other skills if you prefer an older roleplaying analogy). It's the same perception seen in movies when the hero is sticking to the ceiling such as Toby Maguire's Spider-Man. If I were the one scripting the ending, I'd have ref focused on the tap, motion for the bell while going to the scuffle to address it instead of stepping over the foot under the rope. Then there's the possibility of the action going on to use as an excuse for missing the foot, and better yet, a way to get two groups to face each other when Strong blames Jericho for the ref not seeing the foot. But that's just me and the way I write. I gave up my dream of professional wrestling when my left knee was destroyed years ago.
