That drawer with all the Tom Ford quads overwhelmed me so much! I don't think I could handle it to have so many in all the same packaging, I would dismiss them every time just because I wouldn't want to try to figure the shades in them 🙃🙃 BUT it's also extremely satisfying to see them all line up like this!
You know what they say, if you haven't worn it in 6 months....honestly, you'll never miss it with new stuff always coming in. It's such a great feeling to do a good and thorough purge and clean. I always feel such a relief and that a weight has been lifted. I hope you experience the same. :)
I could never keep so many shadows!!! I would go insane. I'm a minimalist and I'm down to 3 palettes maybe and I still think its too much. I will be decluttering soon!! It is a great feel Mac!!
That sunrise was gorgeous. It looked exactly like how my mind's eye would envision a desert sunrise! I got the biggest kick out of Butters stopping on each step that you stopped on and looking up at you as if to say, "Aren't we going all the way down?" 😊
Hello Michele 🥰 LOVE declutters, especially of luxury makeup - usually people tend to only get rid of drugstore products, even though imo clutter is clutter no matter the price and if it doesn't bring joy - IT'S RIGHT OUT 😂❤ Your collection is absolutely dreamy. As a budget-concious student I have a small collection of high-end makeup, and I have to be extremely careful with my purchases. Hipefully one day I'll be able to embrace my makeup-loving soul more, manifesting and hustling for now ❤🙏 Sending lots of love! X

I love Wild Bluebell. I wore it exclusively on a vacation and now when I wear it, I have such wonderful memories from the scent about our vacation! I love how scents can take you back to another time. Perfume, food…it’s all good!

You can own high end especially during Christmas with the sales. If you play your cards right it will cost around drugstore prices but probably just a little higher. Also mercari and poshmark people sell high end makeup for drug store prices all day everyday. You really gotta look but it's def there.
Luxury makeup is largely a waste of money, in my experience. Don’t feel bad at all if you can’t afford it!! My favorite palettes are by brands that mainly create their products for professional makeup artists. They have much better performance compared to floofy ‘luxury’ products.

Hi Michele, regarding the CHANEL LAQUE, I actually put a thick ligne coat, let it sit for 15 secondes and then I use a concealer blender brush to gently buffer the eyeshadow.

Great video. So many products I would have loved to try out! From an earlier collector I would like to offer a few tips on how I was able to reduce (a lot). - keep only what you love and know you will wear - keep collector items that you want only for collecting in a separate space - have one donate and one give away box available at a fixed location so it's easy to do 5 minutes here and there once the energy arise. Choose a pretty box so they don't annoy you - buy these small stickers with month and year (or plain one you can write on) and add to all new items coming in. That way you know if somethings too old - personally I didn't store by brand only, but also if an item was used or to try out. That way I knew where to go for testing. If something had been in the to test drawer too long (stickers remember) then it had to go. No opening to have a look etc. Hope it can be of help to someone 💕
I wish ABH would release the Mario palette too! There’s so many of us who missed the launch. And let’s be real: the brand’s hurting too. Perhaps re-releasing the Mario palette would help everyone remember what makes their brand so special

OMG....lol, the wave of the hand and "stop it" with the coffee.....I get what you mean, I NEVER considered myself a collector of make-up, "I'm just a make-up lover." UNTIL it started taking over all my empty space. Did a declutter recently and am amazed at how much I threw out (old and not usable by anyone else.) When I was done, I still have a fair amount but it made very clear for me that I am a luxury make-up gal. Not that I don't buy drug-store, because I do. But it's more manageable. I find myself staring at the Violet Grey emails, with my hand on the delete chastising myself, "You do NOT need anything!". For a non-YT'er, I have enough for three lifetimes. I so enjoy your channel. Oh, I wanted to recommend a newsletter called "You and your dog" from Tufts Veterinary Foster Small Animal Hospital (articles written about pancreatitis in dogs/cats). Articles or papers written by Linda Ross, DVM are of note. She has written specifically about Boston Terriers. Great job on the declutter!

The Alex drawer units are problematic for me because they do not open all the way - and I always lose things that are in the back. I cannot imagine how you handle it on a regular basis. I was impressed with the units that Desi Perkins used to set up her makeup. Have not looked in to them yet.

You need to consider creating a “collection” type of set up. Somewhat like Lisa Eldridge. Especially some old but cool or memory stuff. So that it is not hidden in the drawers but actually put at display. To get inspired by the history.
If your friends and fam don’t take all of your used palettes, project beauty share will take lightly used powder products! They sanitize them and give them to people in need (women’s shelter maybe? I forgot specifically who benefits).

This is why I don’t buy pallets but single eyeshadows and build my own pallets to avoid dupes. I hate having 50 shades of brown. Lol.

Honestly, many of the $$ aren’t worth it. I have several Pat McGrath and they are meh. You can get better looks with BH cosmetics or even colourpop.

I usually just pack easy, small faves like the ND Camel Palette, CT Star Aura or TF First Frost and neutral lips. Things that go with everything.
