    Well designed and explained project. Current sensor (hall effect based) may also be used in place of resistor based current sensor.

      yes, hall sensor will also be a good choice if you are planning for a higher range current. Most Low power Dc current measurement is done with shunt resistor method because it provides better results at a low cost

    Where is the R12 and R13? While you show in the paper the R12 and R13 you said 555 connects direct to IRF ,,, so the paper show one thing and you speak a different thing ... Also I downloaded the gabber file and generate the PCB and it comes without them. What is correct? The schematic or the video and the PCB?
