Having children is a blessing but know your limits. 11 is a bit much to be in America. 2-4 is about average now. Growing up with 10 siblings, I know the everyday struggles. My parents were true Hmong from Laos. We were on welfare until all of us were out of high school. We didn't know about vacations, no birthdays, just everyday life love. And being the middle children you don't get much attention from your parents. I see our struggles and didn't what that for my children. I want to be able to provide for my kids. I don't want my kids to grow up wanting things because I can't afford it. We were poor but never hungry.

Even in 1997, even though it felt like a long time we have only been in the US 17 years (Still not an American citizen at this point). I got my citizenship in 2000. My English wasn't great at this time either. My English got really good between 2005-present. Today I can say my English is not bad. Since 2011, I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and carry myself like an American citizen. Today, I am a proud American first and Asian-American 2nd. With this change in my thinking, I believe it is the success of my business, serving my communities, my cities, and counties one house whole at a time, collecting and paying taxes like all good American businesses. Because I am in Charlotte NC and borders South Carolina, I do serve some nearby cities in South Carolina. Today, most Hmong couples are having less children. One of my wife's best friends only have 1 child, we only have 2. All of my brothers and I put together only average 3.5 children (There are 6 of us). Since 2011, I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and carry myself like an American citizen. Today, I am a proud American first and Asian-American 2nd. With this change in my thinking, I believe it is the success of my business, serving my communities, my cities, and counties one house whole at a time, collecting and paying taxes like all good American businesses. Because I am in Charlotte NC and borders South Carolina, I do serve some nearby cities in South Carolina.
Today, most Hmong couples are having less children. One of my wife's best friends only have 1 child, we only have 2. All of my brothers and I put together only average 3.5 children (There are 6 of us). My parents, have 10 surviving children and 2 deceased that I know of. We don't have enough Hmong people in America, please have more children if you can. If you can't afford it, I understand. Having a large ethnic population can also give you a lot of power, power in your community, in your local government, in your city, county, and State; and if you have a large enough group, you can influence the US and or the world.
