    I did work on wastewater treatment around 10 years ago. Needed a refresher for new responsibilities. Your lectures have been very helpful.
    Thanks.

    I’m a little late to the show, but new to this field. This was explained in a very clear and simplified manner. Thank you. If you’re taking questions, do you know if there is any timeframe of phosphorus shedding in anaerobic conditions?

    So is the absorbed phosphorus ultimately rejected in the WAS from the secondary clarifier? Does RAS liberate phosphorus in the anaerobic chamber of the activated sludge tank? If so, does the RAS elevate the P in the wastewater stream?

  • @sabar-tawakkal
    @sabar-tawakkal 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you so much for the explanation really helpful, but I have a quest to clarify,
    for Phosphate removal, because to release the P by the microorg the cond must be anaerobic, no O2 and nitrate,
    so the return sludge (still consist nitrate) is returned to anoxic tank not to from the first. Is it correct?

    Is the nitrate concentration from the feed neglectable to get an anaerobic condition in the first tank during the 5 stage process?

    Question for the presenter: What is your opinion on an algae-based biological treatment system to reduce phosphorus and nitrogen concentrations while at the same time culturing excess amounts of algae biomass that can be sold for a profit to the biofuel industry or other industries? The system would include a photobioreactor to enhance photosynthesis
