It makes some sense to invest in BTLs or HMOs in a personal name to begin with up to when the investor stops being a Basic Rate Income Tax payer. Why? All of the mortgage interest is deductible at 20%, so little different in effect from the old regime. It avoids the problem of how to extract the profits from a limited company without needing to pay taxes beyond Corporation Tax already suffered. There are more mortgages avaliable and at slightly better rates for personal borrowers. On the downside, there is unlimited liability.
But, in all circumstances, speak to an accountant or tax adviser first!,

Taking out director loan is not the best tax way, why not having a Holding company which holds the two companies under and this way the profit from company A can be move into company B with no tax to be paid.
Ask your accountant for this .

Hi a first time buyer question.
Can I use my buy to let company s profit to pay my monthly mortgage ? (A small contribution £400/M )
I'm hoping to buy a second property, so my existing flat become buy to let ,may be I will have to do it under a company, on this property after mortgage I will be make £400/M (after interest only mortgage payment) can I take that money (£400) to pay towards my new properties mortgage ? I will be living in the new property.
    Thank you ❤️

I have a day job and I'm a 20% tax payer. Would it be advantageous to use a limited company to build a property portfolio but not take any income/profits until the company hits £50k/yr or makes more than my main income and I can give up the day job?

If the income from those property’s combined is more than 50k a year buy it in a company

@@jamesgrant3812 not necessarily, you can defer income above 50k into a pension (up to 40k/yr) if you want to stay in the 20% tax bracket
