Alpine Inline Downhill - Montreux, Switzerland - Mateo

Alpine Inline Downhill is new discipline that mixes hiking and inline skating, similar to backcountry skiing where one goes up the mountain with skins and back down. The rider you see here, uses a modified Powerslide carbon speed skate with a Dynafit carbon cuff (made for ski mountaineering).

Thank you for sharing, great to hear! Long frames with all wheels touching the ground and good wheels with a gradual profile help a ton for parallel slides :)

Thank you for watching :) If you rotate your wheels after each descent, do parallel slides on both sides with correct technique, as in same weight on all wheels, you will be able to hold out for a surprisingly long time. We use hydrogen wheels, they seem to hold out the best, many months.
