    The 2024 187hp base model has enough horsepower for a daily driver. 25 and 31mpg with conservative driving. 23 and 28 with aggressive driving. Drives like a sports coupe.

    Thanks for your wonderful video. Appreciate it very much. The Mazda CX-50 GT Turbo 🇨🇦 (CX-50 Turbo Premium Plus 🇺🇸) is my third Mazda vehicle. I’m so happy and very satisfied with this SUV’s performance and driving dynamics.

    Great and enthusiastic review Jason. Thanks ! I recently test drove and ordered a wind chill with terracotta interior CX50 GT Turbo. I am trading in my 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sport which I absolutely love. My favourite sedan to date. I just hope to enjoy the CX50 as much. I know it's a different animal, being a SUV.......however. Thanks again !

    I bought a 2023 Mazda 3 Turbo Hatchback last week. It's such a nice car for me, the interior for the money is better than Acura and Audi for less money.

    Excellent review thanks 😅. I come from BMW and Mercedes Benz and I love my cx50 turbo premium plus. I made a very special connection with the cx50 the moment I test drove it, went on to try the competition and came back to it from a W212 E class 😊. Some things annoy me in the firmware department and other things, but like you said, its a great daily driver 😊

    Mazda is a very under rated brand. I own a 2014 Mazda 6 GT, I love my car, but considering this as mine gets older. Other than a few recalls it is a very high quality car. No problems at all. Does it come with remote start? Is the quality less than a car made in Japan as my last one was?

    I took delivery of a CX50 back in October. It is not perfect, but I still love it. In 1997 I also owned a 94 MX6 v6 with standard transmision. It was a great little drivers car even though it needed more power. I would buy a new MX6 with the new inline 6 and improved performance all around. It would be great in my opinion!

    Before I ordered my CX50 GT TURBO a few weeks ago, I had serious thoughts of waiting for the hybrid version to be released, for the better fuel economy of course. However, don't you sacrifice performance with a hybrid. So why are so many CX50 turbo reviewers so gung-ho for the hybrid when they are so impressed with CX50 turbo power ? Jason...............anybody ?

    • @jasonbellcars
      @jasonbellcars  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends. I test drove the plug-in hybrid CX-90 for a week and it was not great. Wouldn't recommend it. Regular hybrids though, like what Toyota is doing right now, are excellent as they add performance and efficiency. I think Mazda still has a ways to go before their hybrid options are compelling.

    • @RogerSirard
      @RogerSirard ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the reply Jason. I am enjoying my white CX50 Premium Plus w/terracotta interior. That said, coming from my RWD Giulia I find it somewhat sluggish. However, I do need to remind myself that it is an AWD SUV.@@jasonbellcars

      @@jasonbellcars Hi again Jason, I've been driving the CX50 GT Turbo for a year now and although I really like this vehicle, I do like to like to change it up often. That said, I've recently been thinking of trading for the Lexus NX350h for its hybrid system and great MPG. Have you had the chance to review this machine, and if so, what are your thoughts on how these two compare not withstanding the obvious being the MPG ? Really looking forward to your comments.

    • @jasonbellcars
      @jasonbellcars  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RogerSirard Thanks for reaching out! I have driven the NX 350 and the NX 450h+. Both are cool, although I think the 450h+ is way overpriced. Have you looked at the BMW X1? It's pretty awesome and gets great MPG. I'd also consider checking out the current Volvo lineup, like the XC60 Recharge. Super fast and great plug in range.

    Why turbo? Doesn’t it use more gas?

    • @jasonbellcars
      @jasonbellcars  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's way more fun. It's debatable if it uses more gas. Overall, probably. Unless you have your foot in the naturally aspirated engine all the time. Personally, I'd go for the turbo. It's such an enjoyable engine!

    Too large & blocky/clunky looking for my taste, with oversized, impractical wheels, so I went with a 2022 CX-30 Carbon Edition instead (which I had to black-out the front/side trim, roof rails, roof & section of lower hatch in order to make it palatable aesthetically for me with that thick black plastic cladding & bumper).

    • @RealKevGotEm
      @RealKevGotEm ปีที่แล้ว

      I wonder if the plastic cladding can be wrapped cause I low key want to do that to match the paint color on the CX 50 when I get it

    3:41 Do you sincerely recommend people spend $40,000+ on a car without even test driving it? There's a lot of bad car buying advice on the internet, but this is right up there with some of the most irresponsible.

    Beautiful vehicle, but desperately needs a hybrid option
    Mazda keeps shoehorning themselves into features the market isn't looking for
    Standard AWD, and no hybrid along with limited cargo turns away a lot of buyers
    Most want storage and MPGs in this segment

    • @matsudakodo

      This can do what most people would need for offroading easily, as most people won't ever actually off-road and it's a waste of money for what a lot of companies want.
