Thrust Reversers have been around for decades. I know, I machined many parts for these working in Aerospace as a Machinist as early as 1980. Look up the Pratt Whitney Thrust Reverser....

I remember going through some news some days ago, and my experience in the aviation field is just limited to being a passenger only,I too have a strong feeling that this seems to be a stimulator game.
