Here's presenting our Tajpur travel vlog! Tajpur is a virgin beach in the coastal areas of Purba Medinipur or East Midnapore district of West Bengal. It is slightly off-beat hence you can spend a peaceful day or two here without any crowd around. This can be the perfect weekend destination from Kolkata or other parts of Bengal for you. We were there for 2 days and just a night. Hope you enjoy this trip with us. This is just the first part. We intend to release second part soon. Kolkata to Tajpur modes of transport:
By Bus🚍- Buses for Tajpur can be availed from major bus terminals in the city like Esplanade and Garia. These are buses going to Digha, so you need to get down at Balisai. Bus fares would vary depending on government or private as well as AC or Non-AC buses. From Balisai you will get Toto to Tajpur for approx 15-20 per head or you may book a private vehicle for these 6 kilometers.
By Train🚆- Trains DIGHA SUP AC EXPRESS, TAMRALIPTA EXPRESS, KANDARI EXPRESS depart from Howrah Station at different times of the day. You need to get down at either Digha (18 kms) or Ramnagar Station (10 kms) and then hire a private vehicle to reach Tajpur.
By Private Vehicle 🚘 🏍️ - Via NH16 or NH116B you can reach Tajpur. Route will be Kolaghat-Nandakumar-Contai-Balisai-Tajpur. Refer to Google Maps for direction from your location.
