They are just perfect together
So elegant and beautiful! UNDERMARKED!! She was fabulous and was amazing for week one, so natural and not wooden at all. Hope she makes the final.
Oh and for those saying about her crying pathetically....her mother died the night of the red carpet event. She is doing this for her as her mum wanted her to do this. Think before you type, it is obviously emotional for her

Go Alexandra Burke she danced well I hope she wins strictly this year that will make me very happy fingers crossed I pray she wins she deserved much better marks than what the judges gave her.also she is so underrated in her music career since she won X factor she deserves more credit than what she already gets because she can dance very exceptionally well she proved that in her music videos so I definitely have high hopes she wins this will make my day if she wins strictly this year Alexandra needs recognition in everything she does in music and her dancing and I want everybody to no that she isn't one trick pony just because she has won X factor doesn't mean that she a 1 hit wonder because she is not

I had missed Alexandra's dance, just watched it now and it was stunning! Can't believe she only got 24!
Okay, I was worried when I saw Gemma and Brian. This is good. She finishes her lines with her fingertips. Wonderful. Nice flow, and there is an attempt at body contact in ballroom hold. But things to work on, more 'vase' shape in ballroom hold, and work on the heel turns (important for waltz). So glad producers didn't let her do just a latin dance (like a cha-cha) in her first week. Great potential. 6.5. Edit: Gorka's choreography is wonderful. It's his year, mark my words!
iluvsoulmusic do you know where they hide the fans? Those floaty airy dresses don't look like that with mere dancing alone, mechanical help must have been added but I don't seem to see the fans anywhere. What sort of voodoo is that? LOL

I've hope about Gorka. He has a passion and and is the best choreographer and whoever is partner with Gorka she can learn quickly i don't know why. Maybe he is a good teacher. I all the time support Gorka and I'm sure that she will careful about her posture and improve herself because she is talented and she feels the music. Also her footwork is very clean there is no problem with her Waltz except for the posture. Now I'm waiting for the other dances yaaayyy!

Guys please try to understand Alex. Her mom passed away just a couple days ago. Not only is she very emotional now, but she missed a few days of rehersal with Gorka. She did an amazing job.
Her score? That's a joke. Hope it will change later on in the competition.
Her points suffered because she was third in the line up. There were later dances, that weren't as good but scored higher. I'm confused?
Don't be confused because this sort of thing always happens in shows like this. Those on early get undermarked. It helps to be drawn in the last half, as Alexandra surely will be next week.

Diane Banks if I have anything to do with the votes when you can phone in in the finals I am phoning in hundred times or more just so Alexandra wins but Alexandra going to have to get to the finales first before I do that

Nobody on Strictly has ever danced like Alessandra, and I doubt there'll be anyone with her grace and talent. She won. She just didn't get the crown but she won.

The dress is the icing on the cake of a great performance.
Being on early meant she got undermarked compared to others later on. This was a very good start, but there was some gapping. 7.5/10
Incredibly beautiful
I will never understand how this dance merits a 5. I would've given it a 7 or 8 at least. She was absolutely beautiful. Had a natural elegance and flow through the floor. And her posture was the only real thing she needs work on.
Alexandra Burke will be in the final and she will get high scores for sure. I believe she will do amazing in the Latin dances she has moves for sure. I really liked her first dance . I really like Gorker 's choreography and she already is a great dancer.
She started dancing at the age of 3 she trained in street ,commercial dance ,and contemporary dance . She danced all the way through school and preformed hip hop in her singing videos . She was also a judge on SYTYCD in USA as a guest judge the same day that Louise Redknapp was a guest judge and they were judging hip hop dances on the show.

I live in the USA and if Alexandra did this Viennese Waltz in the USA version of strictly she would have gotten 7s the UK Version is so much tougher then the USA version

Alexandra was on the good morning Britain
She was good, definitely underscored, but people are OVER-hyping her as well and making a bit fuss out of it for nothing. She's in a good position in my opinion, she's not too close to the top spot so people won't be screaming "RINGER!" as much (even though she is, more than Aston), but at the same time, she's not too far down either, so she's pretty much safe as I'm sure she will do just as well if not much better next week.
She reminds me a less good Frankie Bridge, but I think Alexandra will be better at Latin than Frankie, so it balances it out.

Lovely dance! Great footwork too, so early in the competition was nice to see. Gorka's arse and those trousers : - D
One tiny niggle for me is her hands as lovely as they are... they're huge! Needs to close them in slightly as looked alittle claw like over his face... Under-marked for sure though!

Very airy, graceful and elegant. There was sway. However, there were no heel leads, they broke hold at the middle of the dance, her top line wasn't good and, occasionally there was a gapping between them. Her arms were great, her musicality was excellent, she acted the dance brilliantly, but there were too many errors for a descent score... a 5 from me.
Waltz is hard and it looked average.She made a few mistakes so 6/10

Conor Hutchison she's ALSO a dancer. She DANCES in musicals. She has DANCED on tours.
