W203 Mercedes C-Class (2001-2007) Headliner Removal

Want to remove the headliner in a W203 Mercedes C-Class? This is the process to do it. There are places in this video where I point out what to do if power is connected to the car. Since this car is in the junkyard, I was not able to move the seats or gear selector; both things make the job a lot easier.

Nice video. Job well done with the step-by-step. You can stick a screwdriver to the right back of the shifter to get it out of gear. Had to do it at the salvage yard to remove the center console.

There's a black plastic tab seen in the video that once pressed allows the shifter knob to be put out of park...

Why not put the back seats down and go in from behind ie: push the liner through the open trunk?

Precisly the part of taking out the headliner isnt in the video... i dont see what the gear selector is doing

@@BobH-t8p the best way will be to release the shift lock and put the shifter in drive to give more clearance.

Ok thats clear.
I cannot really find out how to move it to the back to release the rear part. But at the same time unlock it in the back of the sunroof. Can you explain?

I just folded mine and pulled from the back seats no problem fast folded right at the sun roof back bracket 😂

I may make a video on it in the future. You need to get one end of the springloaded part in the metal bracket, then push hard on the other side and it will pop back into place. The spring is very strong.
