This was actually the loveliest vlog Lydia. The chickens following you, the doggies following you around, Lumi coming to her bowl once you tidied everything, and especially those tails wagging - very heartwarming. Such a comforting living space to share with us all. Proves one doesn't need glitz and glamour and excitement to live a lovely life and thrive. Everyday moments can be exceptional. You're a nurterer, it envelopes everything around you and it's lovely to see! 😊
I’ve been watching your vlogs for years and have never commented but this one was truly perfect and a total joy to watch from start to finish. Your last few vlogs have been just what I need to totally relax and unwind as life is quite full on currently. I agree with someone else, that seeing the more homely vlogs lately has encouraged me to take more time to get joy out of my own, even if it is while cleaning etc. thank you so much for sharing! Ps. Also loving the focus on going natural with more elements of your life! I love this idea and outlook ❤
Hi Lydia, somehow as I'm getting older , my monthly cycles come with more hormonal side effects. I struggle with anxiety, depression and just not feeling myself. I found that when I make sure to take my vitamin d and c it has helped me tremendously. My symptoms have gotten 90% better.
i know this isn’t the place for it, but i kept seeing Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane mentioned over and over in comments, and curiosity finally got the better of me. i read the book, and honestly, it’s one of the most practical guides to understanding manifestation i’ve ever seen. it’s not about instant results, but you can feel the difference as you apply what it teaches. seeing how people respond to me now, i totally get why it’s all over the comments.
“Your diamonds are not in far distant mountains or yonder seas; they are in your own backyard, if you but dig for them.” Russell H Connwell. This is one of my favorite quotes from the book you mentioned in a vlog recently called “ Simple Abundance.” We have the power to be happy. Thank you Mrs Millen Gordon. 💕💕
Nice vlog, I am happy that you are discovering those little things to do to improve quality of life. I, myself, have a ritual that I do everyday since many, many years. It started when I was really young, my mother ALWAYS opened the windows in the bedrooms while we had breakfast, then we dressed and all the windows in every rooms were opened to bring fresh air inside. Every evening before we relax, I dedicate half an hour to 1 hr to put thing away (kind of a reset) and make (start) a list for things that I wish to do the next day. My house looks tidy and smells nice every day and my life is calm and relax; that being said, I am really glad that you discover those little things to make your life calm, happy and that you feel good and productive ! Much love and appreciation for this lovely vlog. ❤❤❤
Lydia, when you were moving your boots from the hallway the doggies were watching you like, “ what do you think she’s doing?”. They are so adorable! Very attentive to your every move.🤗.
Hi Lydia, I just want to say that I started watching your video during an awful migraine and I felt terrible, not only physical but also mentally (I was so angry that I can’t do all the things I’ve planned to). Than I heard you saying that you are trying to stay positive even though you are in ,,that part of the month” and I decided to change my attitude (you even inspired me to do some cleaning at my flat). So if you read this I just want to let you know that I really needed that film and say thank you for making my mood a little better ❤
Fragrance chemicals are considered endocrine disruptors, meaning they can interfere with the body's hormone system by mimicking or blocking natural hormones. This is something you might want to look into that could be contributing to your hormonal issues, I've noticed you use a lot of scented sprays, candles etc. There is a good podcast on The Diary of a CEO with Yvonne Burkart where she shares how she balanced her hormones naturally by eliminating many toxic products she used daily.
I wrote this couple of vlogs ago too, but I can imagine for someone who's job is to test products It must be really difficult for her. I just wish that natural and clean brands soon become mora accepted and popular,so they can afford people like Lids and help spread the awarness. The fragrances are one of the the worst hormone disruptors 😢 I wish she could read all the comments 😩
Lydia, you can name your horse whatever you wish. I rescued two mares. No idea what their prior names were. They respond just fine to the names I gave them. I mainly call them by their nicknames anyway. They are healthy and happy and very loved, which is what matters most.
this isn’t really related to the video, but i have to say-i kept seeing people talk about Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane in comment sections everywhere. after weeks of wondering, i finally decided to read the book, and i get it now. it’s not just about wishful thinking; it’s about learning how to truly focus your energy and align it with your intentions. it’s made me rethink so many things about how i approach life.
I'm loving your new, beautiful horse, but I must say the name Atlas is a little off-putting or harsh. Giving body building vibes or competition. Not your intent I would guess. Colin seems much more sympathetic and soft/cosy which is more your vibe, I think. He has such a sweet face and very soft eyes which seem more Colin-esque. Not trying to rain on your parade, just giving my two cents worth of opinion. Plus as others have said, he's used to Colin and will be more relaxed continuing with what he knows already. Everything else will be new. Congrats! Very exciting! You're looking beautiful and confident and happy, as ever. Well done. I know it's a result of your hard work and tenacity. You're a shining model to aspire to for us all.
OMG I love everything you show us on this channel. Your house is just so amazing. Thank you so much Lydia for making these content. lots of love to you all from Canada.
Colin we love you already 😭🩶🩶🩶 His eyes are magical I wouldn’t want to leave him and probably would just sleep next to him 🥹 im so happily jealous, this journey will be amazing 🩶 I will be honest, I followed you because of lovely Lumi and I just keep falling in love with everything else, but animals and nature you embrace and love is what makes me so so happy and inspire to do more so hopefully one day I can do it too with my dreams to open animal rescue “ranch” 🩶
Hi Lydia, thank you for another very lovely vlog. I recently passed my cat behaviour exams and I wanted to give you some happy cat tips for Lumi (I hope this is the right spelling). Wild cats eat about 15-20 mice a day, which consist about 90% of water so they drink very little. As domestic cats have another, much drier diet, we really have to encourage them to drink, to avoid urinary problems. One of the most important lessons I learned is to not put food and water near to each other, as this is very unnatural for a cat (in nature, they will never drink where they eat to not get their water contaminated with bacteria). A cat feels very vulnerable when drinking, so make sure to not put the drinking bowl against the wall but make some space so she can sit between the wall and the drinking bowl and have an overview of her environment while drinking. Experiment with different drinking stations at 3 different locations in the house, for example: a vase filled to the brim on a table, a wide porcelain bowl (as metals can give a funny taste to the water) and a drinking fountain. I would also suggest food puzzles, as cats like to work (hunt) for their food which contributes to their mental well-being. Life is about learning and I wanted to thank you for Evergreen. I am getting my own greenhouse in a few weeks so I’m looking forward to your gardening tips and tricks! Love, Natasha ♥
It’s so funny. People think that they’re decluttering. What they do is move one thing from one cupboard to another. The issue is to much stuff. I see this through OCD eyes. I think everyone does this. It clutters your mind too! Just give all your excess to other people who might like. My cleaning girls love my stuff. This is meant for advise purposes only, not criticism. It makes you feel so liberated..
Just to let you know peppermint essential oils are toxic for cats. People should really read about these oils they put in their homes especially when they have pets.
Hi Lydia, i’m sure you know this but just incase, just a word of advise from a life long horse owner, plse don’t change Colin’s diet that he has been used to as any sudden diet changes can really affect a horse. Charlie would’ve had him on the diet that is right for him. Keep him on plenty of the best quality forage (that he is used to - either hay/haylage & grazing) that you can buy. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
The book 'eat pretty' by Jolene Hart speaks in depth about what eating seasonally looks like. It’s also a very beautiful book for the coffee table ❤ thank you for bringing gratitude to these darker months, Lydia xxx
Thanks Lydia for sharing your interest in phrases or words, you reminded me of a conversation with a childhood friend about my Dad who passed away a long time ago.She said she could still remember his mellifluous voice..like you I also looked up the meaning!Always enjoy your content and thanks for making me smile❤
I cannot understand how you can be woken up 3 times a night and not have invested in a timed cat feeder where the lid auto opens. I know you love your cat but that level of sleep disruption is hard on your health !
Such a lovely vlog; I love a reset and a good organized session. Your dad wanting to hack with you is so sweet. This will add beautiful moments between you, talking with someone on a lovely hack, with fresh air and equine company. I'm glad that Clyde will be joining his new home. You will spoil him rotten, and that is marvellous. He has very kind eyes❤🐎
What a wonderful vlog! It made me throw open my windows (actually getting some cold weather here in Florida, USA) and get cracking on my "to tidy" list. Thank you
I was thrilled to see you preparing for Colin he is definitely going to a 5 * home look forward to your journey with this gentle giant ❤aannnd the horsey clothes bring it on🙌🐴x
I'm so excited for Atlas's arrival! Love getting to see all the stuff you are getting for his arrival. Two things i wanted to mention were that we invested in a rolling nest box for our chicken coop and that prevents any of our eggs from getting mucky and we don't ever need to wash them. Something to consider. The other thing was we meal prep our meats on the smoker once a week. It keeps us rotating through what we need to use up but it also helps us prep it was faster for a meal through out the week because we are just reheating what we portion we need. I love the idea of stashers for the rice!!! I hadn't thought of doing a batch of plain rice before. We make up several onigiri once a month to have a stash of those to pull from but never plain! How simple and obvious! Thank you for sharing life! It's been lovely to reset alongside you!
Working in design…mint I suggest a thought to have rug runners in your hallways of your entryway. Will warm it up and be less echoing. Also, helps with warm and sound throughout the house.
Loved your excitement about your first horse and loved tge restart. I did it this week too and it cleared my head and I feel so good about it. Fab vlog.
Salmon cooked with onion tomato bell peppers herbs lemon olive oil wrapped in greaseproof paper. Yum. Juicy and tasty. Same with the chicken. Atlas is so lucky to have you in his life bless. Loving this vlog cos it's covering so much. You are amazing my lovely.
Not sure whether you realise Lydia that frangrances are major hormone disruptors and can have a very negative affect on fertility in men and women. Worth looking into if you are looking to go more natural. Stink on Netflix is a good start.
Hey Lydia, you mentioned you light an essential oil candle once a room is completed and spray your bed with an essential oil spray, just incase you was not aware, essential oils are not safe to be around animals. They can cause liver damage amongst others things. Please look into this some more for the sake of your lovely animals xx
Wow Lydia! You’re posting consistently and they’re long videos. I’m loving every minute of them. Im here for the garden and horse talk. What a beautiful life you’ve created for yourself.
Hi , Lydia I think this is my most favourite vlog yet and I’ve followed since you started! You’re going to give Atlas the most lovely life seeing how much you care for him already ❤
Lydia, if I go away for a couple of days I use a timer feeder ( dried food) for my cats. Could you not use this at night for Lumi? Or better still get her used to expecting food only twice a day? Great vlog as always. X
New favourite world Mellifluous ❤ when it said honey it instantly made sense to me with the Welsh word for honey being mêl. Thank you for such rejuvenating content. Its mt calm in a rough storm at the moment 🙌
Please call him colin x that's his name Alex has kept Humbug for her horse . Live for now don't wait for summer you are too focused on seasons since you wrote your book xxx❤
I’m happy you chose an older horse. They need love and good loving care. I have heard you don’t plan to have children but I’ve known many couples thought they didn’t and they change their mind or husband does and it’s past the choice timeline. You have changed many things over the past 20 year’s . I hope you froze eggs as a backup just in case. Love your style and videos. I respect a woman’s right to chose but like a backup plan.
When it comes to peri-oral dermatitis I usually find it often in those who wash their face before they brush their teeth. Toothpaste is extremely drying and if little bits are left around the mouth especially at night it tends to dry that skin out. I always say brush teeth FIRST and then wash face also then if you get any gross bits that flick out you can wash it off anyway when you wash your face but most importantly you wash any diluted remaining toothpaste off your face before applying moisturisers. Otherwise you’re mixing the chalky dry toothpaste remnants into your cream and drying out skin all night long. Give it a try
Lydia darling, I’m a big perfume person and recently treated myself to Atkinson’s Rose in Wonderland - I bet so much that you’ld love this fragrance as I thought about you when I first smelled it! Try it out ♥️ 🌹
Just started reading evergreen which I got for Christmas, you said something in the first chapter that really resonated with me……….too much to text but just wanted to say thank you Lydia 💜💜xxx
Organizing and refreshing my home, taking a hot bath at night and putting on fresh pajamas, sitting in front of a fire with a glass of wine and a book… my idea of heaven. Enjoyed watching!
I don't usually comment on these videos, but i enjoyed this one so much I have felt compelled to comment. I really enjoy your more "homely" content and seeing you doing "normal" household chores/activities. You've inspired me to find more joy in these things too. Thank you Lydia xx
I did a happy jiggle dance when I heard you were going horsey shopping! 😂❤ I've followed you for 7 years and YES I manifested you to start creating horse content!!
I do love these homely vlogs Lydia. If I were you I would have had my comfys on all day and slippers on whilst tidying, how can you wear boots all day! Or does it make you feel more productive? Your choice of course. I could watch you allllllll day 🤓🐴🍂🪴🤎
Atlas Colin seems a very sweet horse. 😊 Such a pretty picture. Am glad his health doesn't need to be as in place for your needs from the start, and I'm very happy for you. 😊🐎 Enjoy him.
My cat is the same, Olympe only likes the worst wet food for her but I make sure that her treats are only 1 ingredient, like some freeze dried chicken or salmon. These cats I swear!!! She’s also obsessed with my dried hydrangeas on my bathroom counter!
Lydia this might sound weird but please can you share the link to your laundry basket? I’ve been looking for one for AGES that fits the bill and yours looks like it might!! Xx
Aw Lydia please share if you find any new routines/supplements that help with the monthly PMS. I have personally found that the below really helps if anyone else is struggling with this, but I agree the symptoms will still be there, but leaning into it rather than pushing it away really makes it more manageable. These are just a few! Supplements Magnesium Vitamin D3 Ashwagandha - Wild nutrition is best for supplements. Switching to matcha instead of coffee is a huge change! Chasteberry extract supplement for hormones Lifestyle No ultra-processed food high-fibre foods Healthy fats Yin yoga-amazing for the busy mind Candles/baths Time to rest and be alone. Journal and cycle tracking
Silly question... but is that the sheep jumper that you shrunk a little? I'm asking because I bought a size small and wish I'd gotten an XS... So if it is that very jumper... how did you shrink it without it becoming ill shaped? I would love, love, love to know! Thank you for always having such interesting content. I love Evergreen by the way - very inspiring!
I absolutely ❤❤❤ raw milk..it was a staple during my childhood, 1970s/80s and I actually seek it out…for a long time it was unavailable but thanks to changing food culture it has made a return…it’s really delicious and in comparison to regular milk it’s just ambrosia 😊
If you are going to drink raw milk, please remember to boil it first to get rid of the bacteria. Also, if you've never had it before, your stomach might not be able to handle it (FYI).
@@michellegordon456 True...but there's a lot of bacteria in raw milk that's not good for you, especially if you haven't grown up drinking it...I'm trying to be tactful here but there's other things that might get mixed in with the milk...lol
As a child, I drank raw milk straight from when the cow was milked, I must say, I loved it, I never had any teenage spots, my skin was clear and still is I can't relate to any breakout at any stage of my life, my grandma also drank it, people living in rural areas of the world do too, just take a look at their skin.

I am loving these home vlogs. There is a time in each season for a home reset. It really does make life so nice. ❤
I am definitely going to start lighting a candle in the room once it’s clean is complete. There’s something so satisfying and peaceful about that 🤍
I love raw milk tastes so clean and fresh a bonus is my usually sensitive stomach had no problems with it .

Ooh this vlog was like innuendo bingo with the ‘sniff the lid’ and ‘rubbing herself against my foliage’ comments bloody hilarious 😆
I love seeing your organising and you have the most beautiful laundry 💕💕
Lydia, if I go away for a couple of days I use a timer feeder ( dried food) for my cats. Could you not use this at night for Lumi? Or better still get her used to expecting food only twice a day? Great vlog as always. X
We use a timed feeder overnight, changed the game!
Do you never wear slippers ? Very strange to wear outdoor shoes inside
Absolutely agree 👍
New favourite world Mellifluous ❤ when it said honey it instantly made sense to me with the Welsh word for honey being mêl. Thank you for such rejuvenating content. Its mt calm in a rough storm at the moment 🙌
Please call him colin x that's his name Alex has kept Humbug for her horse . Live for now don't wait for summer you are too focused on seasons since you wrote your book xxx❤
I'm loving the home content !!! 🎉
The chickens are the cutest! 🐓
Riverford have seasonal veg books and I use them all the time!
Try it out ♥️ 🌹
He's an older horse, I think it's cruel to change his name.
So sad to change his name for aesthetics … and he looks like a Colin too
She has deleted my very same comment cuz it doesn’t fit the narrative
His name is actually Atlas though
@@valentinalopatina8229no she hasn't. I saw your very same comment below. 🙄
Just started reading evergreen which I got for Christmas, you said something in the first chapter that really resonated with me……….too much to text but just wanted to say thank you Lydia 💜💜xxx
A lovely enjoyable vlog Lydia ❤ love these pottering at home vlogs 😊
Organizing and refreshing my home, taking a hot bath at night and putting on fresh pajamas, sitting in front of a fire with a glass of wine and a book… my idea of heaven. Enjoyed watching!
If you ever have sunburn. Sudocrem will sort it.
U need 2 open windows everyday, it's called luften in Germany good 4 health and well being .
I could watch you allllllll day 🤓🐴🍂🪴🤎
I can't believe I actually watched someone cleaning their house 😆 Well thats a first for me ha,ha
Atlas Colin seems a very sweet horse. 😊 Such a pretty picture. Am glad his health doesn't need to be as in place for your needs from the start, and I'm very happy for you. 😊🐎 Enjoy him.
I love all your vlogs and your lovely home. I'd really love to know all the paint colours in all your rooms. Thank you 🥰
My cat is the same, Olympe only likes the worst wet food for her but I make sure that her treats are only 1 ingredient, like some freeze dried chicken or salmon.
Supplements
Magnesium
Vitamin D3
Ashwagandha - Wild nutrition is best for supplements.
Switching to matcha instead of coffee is a huge change!
Chasteberry extract supplement for hormones
Lifestyle
No ultra-processed food
high-fibre foods
Healthy fats
Yin yoga-amazing for the busy mind
Candles/baths
Time to rest and be alone.
Journal and cycle tracking
Lydia, when you opened your tea cupboard and said it was carnage, I thought it was perfectly tidy and neat!
I just finished reading your book, “Evergreen “. It was so uniquely written and the content was so relatable. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this vlog it was great, a day caring for your home your self and the animals 🤓
Id say the best advice ever given to me is be gentle with yourself.
You are in your best version 🌺🌺🌺🌺
Too funny...I have the same paisley print makeup bag from Amazon! Channeling my inner Lydia without even realizing it! 🤣
Why dont you get an automatic cat feeder from Amazon! U set the feeding times and it just pours out the food when its time. 🐱🐱🐱
Thank you for sharing your life with us .❤
Hello, does anyone know where the lovely personalised dog bowels are from? 1.05mins into the video - thanks so much 🐾
Lydia, how is your office coming along. Do you ever work from your office?
I absolutely ❤❤❤ raw milk..it was a staple during my childhood, 1970s/80s and I actually seek it out…for a long time it was unavailable but thanks to changing food culture it has made a return…it’s really delicious and in comparison to regular milk it’s just ambrosia 😊
I fully admit to having an addiction to the cream that rises to the top. Be still my heart, it is SO decadent and delicious ❤
If you are going to drink raw milk, please remember to boil it first to get rid of the bacteria. Also, if you've never had it before, your stomach might not be able to handle it (FYI).
You may as well just drink normal milk, that's been heat treated, with respect
@@michellegordon456 True...but there's a lot of bacteria in raw milk that's not good for you, especially if you haven't grown up drinking it...I'm trying to be tactful here but there's other things that might get mixed in with the milk...lol
@@nadia7956 Hahaha oh yes
I had raw milk and was getting on a bus for a trip to Amsterdam when visiting Europe. It got ugly. My body was just not ready for that.
As a child, I drank raw milk straight from when the cow was milked, I must say, I loved it, I never had any teenage spots, my skin was clear and still is I can't relate to any breakout at any stage of my life, my grandma also drank it, people living in rural areas of the world do too, just take a look at their skin.
Congratulations on buying your first horse Lydia, enjoy him ❤
I just heard that with the bird flu that giving cats raw food is dangerous. However, that may just be the US.
