I don't know why just watching a mower cutting alfalfa is so mesmerizing?? The drone scenes of you just cutting the 'grass' is just cool... :)
Smells like heaven too!
I’ve had a 313 with steel rolls for about 5 years now and I’m very happy with it it’s easy to maintain and work on and does a great job cutting
We could use some of that moisture in southwest Iowa. Been awhile since it’s been that muddy down here. Another great video. Really enjoy riding along.
Just bought the same mower a year ago, absolutely love it and think u will to, great machine
Looks like great rain
have ya"ll thought about investing in a tedder to help make dry hay we use one and we can bale the 3rd day after cutting
You guys had way more rain than we had all summer, and we're just one county south. I'm not sure, but I think there is an option for the New Holland. There is a canvas you can purchase to hang from the back to help with the hillside cutting. We don't have the option on ours either, but it would be nice when it's muddy.
Looks good, gonna start on 3rd cutting this week in central IA. Nice mower upgrade, maybe use the little 50 on the mower and see how ya like it?
Great video!
Nice looking discbine and hay
White 155 works great also
Good vids man 👍
Looks like some nice alfalfa! What variety do you guys grow?
My neighbors bought a NH 313 a couple years ago. When making dry hay it will lay down the widest and smoothest swath I have ever seen out of a discbine. Almost no need to ted hay out of a 313.
We run an 835 moco with flails. Very rarely do we Ted. Didn’t Ted anything last year, and only tedded two fields that got rained on this year. A lot of it comes down to climate.
Yeah do a pros and cons video. That would be sweet
New discbine looks good
Nice machine and cutting width is a little bigger now. Here we have on almost every machine's a overrunning clutch. You need it espesially with John Deere and Ford. Hope the alfalfa is dry when you chop it.
Both our new idea and massey ferguson discbines have those clutches in them, they're nice, steal on steal rolls i think do a better job of crimping but that just my opinion, but I've heard that the quick change on NH/CASE knives can give trouble and let go knives but I don't know what causes it
Great awesome video, yes new Holland is better , we had both
Good video.
Better machine in my opinion
Enjoy the video Boy .
Nice video
We've had a vicon, deere and two new hollands. By far the new holland is a better option. We have a 313 currently.
nice dang crop for a 4th crop, 5 is crazy.
It will be the 2nd time ever 5 crops will be made
You should demo a macdon sometime and compare all 3 i switched to macdon about 5 years ago and have been very pleased
Hard part for a lot of people is even getting ahold of a MacDon unit. Their parts availability and dealership network sucks compare to that of JD and NH/CnH. Even tho some are dealers for macdon. So that writes macdon off the list for many.
Won't go wrong with that discbine
I'm used to having a PTO off position between on and brake. I guess JD just likes to sell PTO brake repairs.
Yep and if you can't do that change the 540/1000 speed lever into neutral
Can’t believe you got a draw bar pull.
Quite frankly can’t believe they even still make draw bar pull mowers. With 2pt hitch mowers being so much easier to hook/unhook from the tractor.
Drawbar swivel is literally better
I have a draw bar swivel and can hook up in less than a minute. Never go back to a 2PT.
We pulled a 1431 new holland with the 4440. C4. Just giving her all day. I used to steer the mower with the hydraulic and keep the tractor on the row,.
