And yet I bet he’s retired so he’s not working , his views need retiring too
3:26 40 hours for £200 would be £5 an hour; which would be under the legal minimum wage for someone under 18 (or an apprentice) by 28p per hour.
Age 23 or over (National Living Wage): £10.42
Age 21 to 22: £10.18
Age 18 to 20
: £7.49
Under 18: £5.28
Apprentice: £5.28
Grandad clearly wants slqve labour the absolute drongo.
Im glad to know we (the country) are no longer on our knees, so thanks to the last 13 years of the Conservatives! To be fair, if you're a Conservative, a real Conservative, you would be quite happy with the plebs being on their knees, the especially if they (plebs) will still vote Conservative in the next general election (FFS)!!!
'They're always going to blame it on Ukraine and the pandemic'. That man has it in one.
The only thing which wasn't quite accurate is that Keir Starmer stands for nothing. He does stand for something - Tory policies and ideologies.
Starmer needs your support,we can kick him out once he's won the election!
ah yes, Work For The Dole - a private company gets labour, the taxpayer pays the wages, the regular businesses go under, and employees can't find work anywhere except for wftd...
Spot on about conman Houchen. As for the old boy praising Tory, an example of the weirdness that is Teesside. Really poor area that has loads of people still
doffing their caps to the Tories shafting them.
Why would you vote Tory.
To protect my billions.
Why aren’t their more voices speaking up about the wealthiest exploiting loopholes in tax avoidance (legal). Tax evasion ( illegal) which costs this country, by HMRC figures, £32 BILLION per year. Strangely this figure doesn’t vary much from year to year. As for going after benefit cheats , the cost of this is peanuts compared to the wealthiest who evade tax and many of whom donate to the Conservative Party.
The richest 1% pay 28% of income tax in the UK.
@@BENTWOONEZEROwhere as the poorest pay 32% tax between income and ni. You dont pay ni on dividends or capital gain. Dividends tax at 7.5% last time I looked and cgt is 18%. So not even close to your number
@@adamcarreras-neal4697 Are you saying my number is wrong ? Based on what. And capital gains are taxed.
Just as a side note, you get about 80 quid a week on UC/JSA…. Which you can’t live off. You can exist on that. No one would be on it if they could avoid it!!
“At least the conservatives are honest about not being interested in the worker class”??
“Which I am”? (But I’m voting for them anyways) 🤦🏼♀️
WTH? There’s some serious mental gymnastics happening there!
Some people have a very short memory. It was a Tory Thatcher government when it all started going downhill, and we've never been the same since. Tories always look after themselves first and the rich second.
Middle class grew under thacher you idiot, government grew after her I power labor
The old boy seems to think that £6.25 per hour is a typical wage. He is making things up to suit his argument. This is not uncommon but any fair minded person should question their argument if they need to do this.
It's okay for that old f...er to say, he hasn't got long left anyways!
This is great. The lad in the grey top has grey matter, and the guy in the back hoodie. If you haven't got a car your screwed. Switch the lights of in your brain, and blame the other people who are struggling by complaining about some people, who they think are taking the piss. I wouldn't like to be in opposition now, but best of a bad bunch is so sad. People deserve better but taking digs at each other, whilst other people are clearly building up their wealth is not a shock.
"I'm not a green fan anyway". The word 'fan' tells you so much about how tribal people are about real, scientific, existential issues. Never mind the facts, I'm just not a 'fan'.
Did that old man actually say that the Conservatives are honest!?
who on the dole is getting 250 a week?
No there’s rent of around £500 a month, then there’s standard dole, what’s that around £350 a month? Then there’s childcare and all the other add ons
@@jonsteele7445
Jobseekers allowance is £80 per week for over 25s
"If you're on the dole getting £250 per week. Well I don't think they do but even if it's £200 per week...."
The guy just doesn't have a clue. It's £84 per week for over 25's. Only a 3rd of what he thinks it is.
No there’s rent of around £500 a month, then there’s standard dole, what’s that around £350 a month? Then there’s childcare and all the other add ons
@@jonsteele7445 Child benefits are for people with kids and you can claim them when you're working, it has nothing to do with people on the dole.
He was talking about job seekers and if you're signing on, good luck finding a private landlord that will take you on. Most folk have to move back in with parents at which point they aren't eligible for housing benefits.
I've got to give the old guy credit for his honesty, even if he is a textbook pleb.
Wokenati and proud. We need social mobility, and our taxes to go back to the social system. End evil Tories with their ridiculous ineffective austerity and laws that only benefit the rich.
How working class people can vote Tory and especially Labour now is beyond me. Greens for actual working people.
That old tory boy needs to be sectioned. Mate wake up 13 years of tory rule and look at the state of the country. This is run by a crime scene!
That old fellas needs to get his facts straight - Universal Credit is £368 per month for a person over 25. Typical Boomer they got everything and slag off everyone else as they are stiing comfy.

Labour left the country on its knees that man read history at all? 😂
My old neck of the woods, Teesport and the supposed "Freeport". Nice to hear.
It surprises me how little some people understand about politics...
And yet, their votes cancel out your votes... Doesn't really seem fair does it?
Teesside has been levelled down. Helped by the dodgy region Mayor!
"Every time Labour's been in power it's been a disaster." Like introducing the NHS, comprehensive education, post-War house building, nationalising railways, the Welfare State. Navigating the 2008 economic recession. When the Tories took over in 2010, we had the shortest waiting list in the history of the NHS and highest patient satisfaction levels. It's the Tories that always leave the country in the shit, not Labour.
A true story in Hartlepool they elected a Monkey Mascot. Once elected the guy took the job seriously. Was not tied to any political party and got himself re-elected a few times until the role was scrapped.
The old guy didnt do his homework properly, the economy was much better .
also the Tory in the purple shirt thinks it ok to pay someone £6.25 an hour.
The old guy in the red shirt exemplifies what is wrong with working class Tories. 😮 No clue what so ever.
Tory’s haven’t done anything for anyone but themselves!
Mick Lynch needs to run. Please
Into a road
@@Brazen1234 lol
Mick Lynch supported Brexit because he thought being an EU member prevented the government from nationalising the rail industry. All the major EU member states have a nationalised rail industry. Wouldn't you have thought he'd have known that? And you want him running the country? He's a union boss and that's his limit.
Sad to say this, but soon all those old people will be dead and then maybe we can move forward as a society
The age demographic of these people is interesting. We need a change now
Stockton Darlington railway opens 1825. Two hundred years later, Stockton has hardly any trains. WTF?
Oh yeah that old Labour disaster of over a decade of record-breaking growth followed by a short worldwide recession out of their control. Has that old guy been asleep for the last 13 years?
There is always one bell end.

That tory guy thinks folk get 200 pound a week dole money lol.
They can do with rent etc paid also
A working class Tory is something to be! A working class Tory is something to beeeee! 🎶
The middle class
Grandpa is an outlier. So delusional.
Both parties need to GO
That guy obviously hasn’t read much history.
Thank you. A range of honest views, and no bad language)))
You may have been misled. Walking round Stockton you’ll find it a challenge to come across two people as vociferously opposed to the Tories as those two. The other ‘I’m working class and the Tories are honest’ guy are ten a penny
They may have been honest but many were so uniformed that is is frightening.
There were some dodgy opinions in this video, but also a lot of good ones. Hope is not lost!
Pensioners in France, heading out to streets, demanding their voice to be heard, protesting the legislations might hurt their youngsters. Pensioners in UK, shrugs when asked about politics, claiming it's all Labor's fault while pointing at people on dole is the problem. God, this country is hopeless...
Starmer and the two-child benefit cap. Angela Rayner backed Starmer on this! Remember Rayner was a single mother and benefited from Sure Start! Starmer is now courting king maker Rupert Murdoch. IMO Starmer has purged moderate left leaning people in the Labour Party. I will vote Labour while holding my nose and hoping for the best.
There is no industry & why ? They left a successful market ....
£200 a week try £36
No there’s rent of around £500 a month, then there’s standard dole, what’s that around £350 a month? Then there’s childcare and all the other add ons
Worth noting that Stockton swung from Labour to the Tories in the most recent local elections in May.
When people on the dole are working 40 hours a week in order to claim their dole, when do they get to look for work, apply and attend interviews?
This video just shows exactly why the elderly generation are holding this entire country back
A little agesist, but when you consistently see folk like that, also a little true.
It is so refreshing to watch something that doesn't reach for immigration as the burning issue. Just passionate, honest people who love their part of the country. The problem starts and stops with those in control.... not nameless hopefuls on small boats. Kick this shower out.
if I was the golden boy I wouldn't be able to help myself from wacking that old geazer on the head with the mic
Why would anyone go shopping in your high street when thy can feed their families or pay for heating? Barb
I'm not a green fan. 🤦🏻♂️
It's not Sunak' s fault....Its the blame game.
He's 100% right. The "conservatives" are not fit for purpose. ie. To represent the British people on the important issues such as law&order, immigration, jobs, etc. They're lining their own pockets and those of their cronies.
When will our political system get a shake up and have a party in charge who are for the people and not millionaires lining theirs and their pals pockets.
Yeah right. In 2019, faced with the choice of the first and only genuinely socialist Labour leadership in a lifetime or the Brexit-supporting Tories, the region that had the least number of EU migrants in England and received one of the highest levels of financial subsidy from the EU voted in droves for the Tories. Thanks Teeside.
I do not believe it, the tories are wonderful, we all suffer, I only have steak and chips and smoked salmon 7 days a week.
0:49 Totally agree with him.
