Nice addon, I really like how clean it is. The one thing I'd really like to see is which sources of knowledge I'm missing in the tooltip when it says 8/13 Uniques for example (I have no idea which ones I'm missing).
Yep..........and don't forget Cooking too!! You will need to bring a few items with you though. For cooking, you need 5 simple flours. You can't buy them at the Darkmoon fair. And depending on your profession, you need to bring a few items with you, also.
I've been looking for an addon or a WA for a few days now that I can use to track my profession knowledge. Thank you for the very helpful video. Great content as always - keep it up!
Blacksmithing is so starved of Acuity, and the Patron work orders require difficult to get recipes (Acuity or Honor), or insane amounts of our resources to make (596 weapons and armor). Its so painful compared to the other Professions right now.
Take another profession (like enchanting and/or engineering), farm their acuity sources, then drop the profession. You can do this for every profession, though everyone should do Enchanting, because the Illusion tree offer a ridiculous amount of acuity (and even nets you Knowledge Points if you want to keep enchanting)
@@diphoration_I did Blacksmith and Leatherworker on my main, I do wanna continue Blacksmith, but Leatherworker is whatever to me Should I then just drop Leatherworking and do Enchanting on that character for the sake of getting acuity and knowledge points?
Most likely, if you do a shuffle today (9th) and a shuffle tomorrow (10th) and you didn't waste acuity on your LW, you should easily be able to max out whatever you want to craft for Blacksmith and benefit from tomorrow's reset to cash in a good amount of gold.
This video was just what I was looking for right when I was looking for it. Boosted my knowledge points quite a bit with those NPC books I didn’t know about.
i find the best way to farm up Acuity is to do the Patron Orders, as they can give KP and/or Acuity. a bunch of easy crafts can turn into a healthy amount of Acuity.
rerescanner also works for the profession treasures, just in case any1 is wondering also, profession points you get from treasures wont provide artisan's acuity
Awesome work Kelani, I'll bookmark this, perfect resource to help with an overcomplicated aspect of the game. Maxing out profs became a chore and too expensive on mats and time. Most times you're making stuff that isn't even that useful for yourself or the player base. Their professions rework fell real short imo.
Did you mention all the treasures you can pick up as a 1 time bonus, each profession has 2 in each zone that can be picked up and I think they reward 3 knowledge per treasure. I may have missed you mentioning it.
Thank you so much. I'm a gatherer and had no idea how to get knowledge points. Still have no idea how to learn to refine, but I'll hopefully figure that out soon.
For herbalism, the bountiful harvest specialization and putting in 20 knowledge points gets you to refine tier 2 herbs. 40 points gets you to tier 3 herbs. For mining, the Plethora of Ore specialization and then learning the sub-specialization of the specific ore will open the path to refining the ore. It is very knowledge hungry though, with 40 points needed per ore to get to tier 3 refining. As well as unlocking each sub-specialization for each ore, which is another 40 points. So, to refine each ore to tier 3, you will need 160 points invested.
The only current work orders on my server is PVP gear. And the commission is like 1k gold, general had a discussion about how no one is going to craft for that cheap. edit: Just logged on my BS 3 work orders are under 200 gold.

What is the weakaura/addon that is showing the cost to craft on the crafting orders? That would help a lot in evaluating whether to do the patron orders
Nice Vid, however for me the Kej for knowledge is no longer available to me since the expansion went live. The 2 vendors Rakka and "Calmest" Gobbu that had knowledge books for sale no longer do. Have I missed something?
I'd like to know what double gatherers (my druid is a miner and herbalist) do to acquire artisan acuity. Have asked in game but no-one really knows. Please advise.
Do you know if they will allow you to use materials in warbank for crafting work orders? It is absolutely one of the most frustrating things to want to craft work orders but having to go back and forth to tthe bank all the time
the mount for siesbarg is actually an alchemy vendor that sells 10 knowledge points but after transforming it to a mount makes the vendor disappear. anywhere else that you can get that vendors 10 points?
I have one tailor i use to make the newest bags and thats all. I have one enchanter for disenchanting cause the tailor needs dust. And all the rest of my toons are gathers. they are all some combination of mining and skinning and herbalist. BFA and then Dragonflight disillusioned me to crafting high level items and gear.
The more I watch these videos, the less I want to do any of it. People say You've just out grown the game, but I was 40 when WoW came out, so I was already outgrowing games if you put it like that. I still like games, but WoW just reminds me of going to work, doing a job I have to do, but don't want to do.
Yep. It’s not _horrible_ but I’m really not a fan of trying to turn profs into their own grindy minigame. My main is ench/tailor and I used to be able to level them easily while leveling my character. It was a simple yet solid crafting system where the strengths came from the unique stuff you could do for yourself as the crafter. The new system does all the same stuff as before, just with extra steps and excessive timegating. Where’s the fun in that?
You seriously don't have to. It's a decent bit to take in, but go slow and learn it over a few weeks and you'll be fine. People tend to want to know everything right away and get flustered, then give up.
Technically you should feel bad if you miss one of the patron crafts for knowledge. Cause those who can do all of the patron knowledge crafts for that week, will then be ahead of you.
Darn and just 2 days after my frustration had me quite this nonsense and just become a gatherer. The quantity of materials needed, esp for a prof like jewel crafting, and the sheer amount of knowledge needed to unlock everything. It's overly and unnecessarily complicated imo. On the plus side I went gatherer and made 20k g in those same 2 days.
Didn't mention this in the video, but if you have to send a crafting order to one of your alts, change the timer to 12 hours, it drops the Posting fee to save you about 15g, if I remember correctly.

I don’t see the point to put items on the AH to make gold when people put items on the AH for a price that is less than it cost to craft it. Your profession shows it’s a negative profit. Makes no sense
