Hi Paul, those Trenitalia trains have a sound like musical notes, I’ve always thought that when I’ve watched the cab ride video’s. They looked fantastic snaking around your layout on international service. I think the Commodore would look good on the bridge of The Carpathia although he may have his hands full with Norma from sometime! Why oh why do we British have to put up with second rate designs, this applies to our cars as well. Am I right in thinking they are Kato models and are they DCC? If yes which ones are they and will they run on Peco 55 finescale. It was only this week that I was dribbling over a British website with some gorgeous trains but I believe there are issues with the DCC decoders (you have to use Kato brand) and the choice of DCC is limited.

What camera gear do you use Paul? I tried my Canon M50 I use for golf yesterday and it just doesn't have a fast enough auto focus for trains. I'm sticking with the phone for now. Even though sometimes it doesn't know which of it's lens to use it seems a little more intelligent indoors with moving objects. Cheers Simon
Hello Simon 👋 I use two cameras to record the videos 🤫 The first is a Panasonic GH5S, used with various Canon or Tamron EF lenses. The other is a DJI Action 4, a GoPro type of camera 📷 Neither are set to auto focus. I shoot the Panasonic at f8 to maximise depth of field and it’s sensor is an excellent low light performer 😇 Too maximise your video quality you will need plenty of light, so it’s worth adding some extra LED light panels to flood the area in shot 😎 I also strongly recommend the Action 4, it’s “rocksteady” mode does make hand held shots very smooth and its sensor is also excellent in low light 💡 Hope that helps 👍 Many thanks for watching and very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️
