@@akkkkk813 yes there was. Buddhism spread to Tibet from Nepal at that same time around 6th century after marriage of Nepalese Princess Bhrikuti. Oldest Buddhist temples, statues, texts, arts, etc in Tibet were brought by Bhrikuti and fellow Nepalese Budhhist scholars, artisans, sculptors. Many of the most impressive buildings, palaces and art pieces found in Asia by Chinese travelers were in Nepal. India was full of conflicts and instability at that point. There was an alliance of Nepalese, Tibetan and Chinese army who fought and defeated one of the evil rulers of India who had taken the throne and suppressed Buddhism in India
