Hey just caught a good feed of garfish yesterday this was really helpful thanks
No problem mate, happy to help. We love garfish, may even be better to eat than flathead...enjoy
thank you for sharing my friend on how to fillet gar fish...watching from the Philippines...
Thank you for watching, especially all the way from the Philippines. l hope it was helpful👍🎣
If you should get round to making another video, I suggest you make a close-up of the cutting procedure. Garfish certainly make for good eating. All the best!
Will do
scale them with your garden hose spray nozzle from tail end
Sounds like a good idea 👍🎣
Good work dude! Ones we had were about 500mm
Thats a good size, they all taste great👍🎣
@@axemansfishingadventures we tried rolling pin method on the large ones and did not work well at all!
No good, rip the back bone out. I like to leave the tail on...looks good on the plate.
@@axemansfishingadventures im guess the rolling pin method doesnt work on larger ones due to bone size
Yes thats usually the case, cut back out on the big ones, probably anything over 40cm👍🎣
