If they don't have the skin equipped but you have them added, then whatever skin they have that they're using online is the one that will show up (as far as I know) Hope this helps 👍
As long as you press import, it will automatically save, and you can go back to it either in the edit skater menu or play with the skater in free play. Hope this helps 😁
