In the UK we have charity shops - we give them things we no longer want so they can sell them at a cheap price, and that money goes to whatever charity they support (like Oxfam, Save The Children, etc). It also means that people who don't have much money can buy some quite nice things they wouldn't be able to afford.
Yeah honestly I was kind of upset if he threw them in the trash , giving to charity might have been better ( I still don't know what happened with it , just assuming it ) . 😢
