      I can't remember the fittings anymore that was awhile ago. I went to a speed shop that specializes in like AN Fittings and other auto fasteners. It's not a chain store it was family owned.

      I have 2024 telluride and installed k&n cold air intake a week ago. I tested on a mountain road where i usually go for a ride. I feel little more power bcz when i go up hill, the transmission should change to kower gear but this time it did not.
      However, little bit noisy even from inside.
      Also, 2mpg got increased

    How about fuel efficiency? With just normal driving, did it increase or decrease mpg? With applying load/harder throttle, does it sound better in the cabin?

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fuel efficiency may have increased slightly but shortly after this I installed all terrain tires and a roof rack so that didn't help with gas mileage. And as far as sound in the cabin I can't say either bc of the borla exhaust and all terrains.

    Thanks for doing the video but…did you…just…basically remove rubber tubing, a box, and flat filter and replace it with metal tubing, a box, and a conical filter in the same location?

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes indeed. The new filter is still getting air from the same spot the original was bc that is the best way to do so. Here we replaced the filter with one that flows a little better and piping that is smoother and does not have the baffling like the stock. So it's getting air from the same place Bit can now flow a little faster and smoother.

    Question,
    I was thinking about installing a cold air intake on my 2021 Kia Sorento ( non-turbo) again it's not a turbo. I can't find one that is compatible for the original 2.5 engine GDI.

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your best bet is to just run a better quality filter. If they don't have one that's engineered to actually work then I wouldn't waste money. A good amount of time has went into the intake and should be getting the freshest air possible

    Good advice to avoid the ebay specials. I had a mitsubishi eclipse come in several years ago with a metal intake and cone filter. It was fairly heavy and was not supported. It broke the intake manifold where the throttle body bolts on. The intake manifold was a discontinued part. Ouch.

      That's exactly why I switched to these bc the plastic fittings they include are extremely hard to find. So if one breaks. Then your basically out of luck.
