    Love that you guys are getting into BTOB! Just some feedback, this is my first video of you guys so I don't know how your reactions usually are but just speaking from this video, I recommend you guys figure out who is who either before or after your reactions because when you do it during the video it's distracting you guys from actually watching/reacting. You missed quite a few golden moments when you where talking, figuring things out or looking down at your phone. Anyway, good luck with your journey down BTOB lane!

    As a big time Melody, I will say that you will only fall in love with these talented nuts
    L-R: Minhyuk, rapper, will DJ as well as write music (as well as grace covers of Men's Health and take of his clothes lots),
    Sungjae the actor and evil maknae and top of the food chain, Eunkwang is the leader and musical actor, Hyunsik with the crazy vocal range and the father of BtoB's music, Changsub also the voice that gives me goosebumps and Musical actor as well as mega loud and picked on by Sungjae, and then Peniel, the most normal one, from Chicago, one of the Hosts on Dive Studio (with Ashley, BM and Juney). (ilhoon, is the former members that we all love)
    BtoB's tallent is off the charts, and they are so unserious. Maybe check out the episode of BtoB, Reserved and Quiet Idols
    They debuted in 2012 around the same time as EXO, all members are back from military service (full member comeback is the 2022 album), they recently left CUBE but I don't think they will ever leave the group even if signed with different lables.

    Left to right
    Lee Minhyuk, Yook Sungjae (maknae), Seo Eunkwang (eldest, leader), Lim Hyunsik, Lee Changsub, Shin Peniel.
    Gone from the group Jung Ilhoon (left in Dec 2020).
    They are known as the “healing and beagle idols” because their much of music is produced to bring comfort to the listeners but when not singing, they are major crackheads who will do pretty much anything to make people laugh and smile.
    Edit: Blue Moon (Cinema version) was produced for the competition show Kingdom: Legendary War which aired in spring 2021. The original version was on their This Is Us album in 2018.

    Blue Moon (Cinema Version) was a rearrangement of their song Blue Moon they did while competing on the competition show Kingdom against other boy groups. While competing in that show they had to pretty drastically re-arrange all their songs because there were quite a few members serving their army commitment at the time. One side note.....RIGHT after this was released, the producer of Killing Voice issued an apology because he didn't realize how LOUD they could sing and didn't set up the equipment properly (on some of the group high notes it actually sounds out of tune but basically they were singing so loud they were blowing out the mic gains).The main vocalist Eunkwang is one of the very few male idols who can hit the original high G5 on So Chan Hee's song "tears" ...on a side note.....yeah, don't try and learn korean sentence structure from songs. Learn it from dramas. Just like american songs, lyrics get chopped up and whatnot

      The Kingdom was Sabrina's first exposure to BTOB and their "Blue Moon" performance was AH-MAZING! Thank you for that information on their army commitments, because that explains why they were only a 4-member group on the show.
      Thanks for the tidbit on the producer of Killing Voice's apologize. It was quite difficult to hear them in the beginning, so it makes perfect sense that the mic volume was turned down in editing to help alleviate some of the issues with the equipment not being set up properly for the high notes. The skill with which the members handled that situation is quite impressive.
      And good point about song lyrics - regardless of language - being chopped up. We are self-taught in our Korean, so these little reminders are quite helpful for us when learning a language whose sentence structure (SOV) is so different from our own native language (SVO).

    Loved your reaction. Ladies, this is the 1st time I've felt the need to comment on the fact that it seems that Peniel either didn't know or didn't tell them the real meaning of "let's get it on" in the US, so they say it all the time and I cringe! Maybe he's too young to know about Marvin Gaye's song. :) I hope to see more of your BTOB reactions: The Ilhoon Squad guide, "Wow" MV, "Beep Beep" MV, "Outsider" MV, all of the BTOB 4U subunit stages (Blue Moon Cinema Version was one of them) from the Kingdom Legendary War survival show along with the Mayfly collab for IU's "Love Poem", "Wind and Wish" MV. Also in regards to your question about the word, "우리" or "uri/oo-ree". It literally translates into "we" or "us" but also is used in implying groups of subjects in one collective "together" (Hence why in parentheses to the song title it says 'Be Together'). So when they end the sentence in "우리" they're not necessarily saying 'we'/'us' at the end of a sentence, they're implying togetherness as 2 subjects in one. Korean is filled with a lot of words that when used in literal translations don't make sense, but when used in sentence provides more context. An example is if you said, "우리집/ Uri Jeeb" where "우리/Uri = We/Us/Ours" and "집/jeeb = House" when talking about your house would literal translate to "Our house". Now, it's not MY house, and I KNOW its not my house, but you using 우리집 implies that maybe that house belongs to you and someone else, so I would be under the assumption that you mean "My House" even though when literally translated to english you are saying "Our House"

    • @hallyureviewsus
      @hallyureviewsus  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much for that explanation! 🥰😘 We were/are aware of both the literal and implied translations of "우리," and that there are many other words in Korean that follow the same pattern, but we had never seen it used in that sentence structure before (at the "end" of the sentence). Our goal is to understand to embrace and fully understand hallyu. And for us, part of that is learning and understanding the language. We hope you continue with us on our journey and continue to share your knowledge with us!!

      @@hallyureviewsus using Someday as an example since it happens a lot in that song, the phrase “언젠가 다시 만나 우리” has 우리 at the end, but the phrase without 우리 would still be translated to “let (us) meet again someday” because the subject (us) is already kinda implied. It’s a stylistic choice to emphasize the us part, to reinforce and emphasize it so the listener knows exactly what they mean. it is something that btob do really well when writing their lyrics because it’s a relatively subtle way to intensify emotion. It’s kinda hard to explain, but “언젠가 다시 만나… 우리” just hits harder than a plain “언젠가 우리 다시 만나” but both mean the same thing. one of the little nuances that Korean has haha.
      …and that’s not to be confused with verbs being able to be modified to act like adjectives which would also result in the noun/subject being the end of a sentence, like in the first lines of someday “날 만지던 너의 그 두 손이 // 날 부르던 너의 목소리가” where the subjects are at the end of the sentences for both because their respective verbs are being used as adjectives to describe them, and the following lines “아직도 선명해 // 여전히 맴돌아” use both those phrases as their subjects.
      Hyunsik (lyricist and composer of Someday, along with a lot of btob’s songs) tends to go for a more poetic approach to lyrics. I took Korean for a couple years in university but I actually learned a lot from how he writes his lyrics :)

    • @hallyureviewsus
      @hallyureviewsus  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@boated915 - thank you so much! Your explanation made total sense and we appreciate it so much! We love learning about the nuances of the Korean language because 1) we love the language, and 2) we feel it is important to truly understanding K-pop songs. As we become more familiar with the Korean language, we feel we will understand the songs and the acts that we already love so much. Since we are new to the language, we appreciate the emphasis of the subject at the end of the sentence for clarification - and we were unaware that it happened, so thank you!
      And we see what you are saying about Hyunsik taking a more poetic approach to the lyrics 😍

    Thank you for reacting, but if you are gonna talk so much pause the video please because you missed amazing parts in the video

      You are quite welcome for the reaction! And thanks for the feedback - we go back and forth on whether to pause or not to pause. People tend to have very strong opinions on both sides of the debate. We will definitely re-evaluate, particularly when we have longer comments 😘

      @@hallyureviewsus I think what most viewers who have issues with pausing is sometimes when people pause to talk and then just press play after they're done talking, it breaks the build up of the song. I suggest rewinding a few seconds before pressing play again so that you don't miss the buildup or break the flow of the song that's playing.

      @@akiraaaa04 - yes, definitely a valid point. Our current setup makes that challenging (if you had any idea how many challenges we have faced, you'd be astonished), but we will see what we can do. Appreciate your suggestions 😘

    I have a request. Can you please volume up your voice when talking? Your voice overlap with BTOB and i want to listen and understand to what you are saying. English is not my mother tongue so unlike others, I can't catch up with what you are saying. 😭

      Thanks for that feedback. We'll take a look at the volume when we next meet to record. We appreciate it!

    I don’t mind you constantly talking but you missed a lot of wonderful parts in Be Together and it irked me.

      Noted. We are just getting started on our journey with BTOB, so we'll make sure to take a look at more! Thanks for the comment ☺

      @@karlam3622 - to pause or not to pause is a pretty divisive topic amongst our viewers, unfortunately. We will make a concerted effort to pause for longer comments. Thanks for the feedback.
