    Centropyge venusta has a blue and yellow coloration. Yellow dominates the lower front part of the body and is also found around the muzzle area. There is a blue wedge on the back of the neck that separates the yellow spots. There is also a blue area that starts near the front of the dorsal fin and covers the back of the body and tail fin. The anal and pelvic fins are yellow with blue margins. The distribution of blue and yellow color varies in each fish. The dorsal fin contains 14 spines and 16 soft rays, while the anal fin has 3 spines and 15 soft rays. This species reaches a maximum total length of 12 centimeters (4.7 in).
    Distribution
    Centropyge venusta is found in the western Pacific Ocean. It is found around the Ryukyu Islands and Izu Islands of southern Japan, Taiwan, and northern Luzon in the Philippines.
    Habitat and biology
    Centropyge venustai is found at depths between 10 and 40 meters (33 and 131 ft). It is a shy and inaccessible species of caves and overhangs, where it is normally found as solitary individuals oriented face down on roofs. Yes, form pairs or small groups. Its diet is unknown in the wild but in captivity it requires live food.
