This was the last series, played out just a few weeks before the Australian side returned to full strength following reconciliation between the board and the players. The timing was fortuitous for India- it was their first ever series victory against Australia and it would be nearly 19 years before they would won another series against the antipodeans

Famous Spin quartet came to an end when Venkat was dropped after 2 tests where he took 2 wickets for 127 runs. He had not played another test for 4 years. Bedi and Chandra were dropped for the series while Prasanna was dropped the previous year. 2. Players throwing bats, showing dissatisfaction was very common in those days. No match referees or penalties in those days. 3. The then PM Charan Singh could be seen watching the Delhi test. 4. Kevin Wright falling down, losing his bat and crawling to the crease was much photographed and publicized in several sports magazines of that era. You can see that visual at 9:01 5. Rohan Gavaskar as a baby can be seen in this video.

Sir donot give long time please the reason why I am requesting for India and Pakistan 1979 series because one of our Neighbours Mr Ehtsham Ud Din he played two test matches in that series and he got 5 wickets I wana see his bowling i will be really thankful to you if you can upload the highlights of that I have never seen any clips of that Series in that series six test matches were played and India won that series by 2-0

Dilip Doshi has got a lovely side-on, classical offie action.....wonder why he dint play more. Heard Sunny n Doshi dint get along well. Hogg could bowl at terrific pace.....not sure how well he did in this series though. Terrific upload as usual

Dear Prasanth Kallay, I mostly have video of matches played in India. However when I started posting these videos I reached out to a fellow cricket fan in Australia to get his help in finding the videos. And lo and behold, he happened to have in his private collection the Aus 77-78 series and was generous enough to ship a copy to me. They are on their way and I will loose no time in uploading once they reach me.
