The You Tube algorithm blew it. It picked up world and change and threw at us the climate change non-factual disclaimer, or reminder, another attempt of manipulation, at telling us how to think. It does not matter anymore because the world is, indeed, changing. Waiting for the world to change is about the New Earth. There are two factors bringing that to us: the energies of the universe and our own rise in frequency, our choice of thinking for ourselves..
I said it before, I will say it again. This is what the internet was for. ❤️🌎 We have more in common than we are told. Its not the people that are the problem, its the governments.

Fell in love with the song "Waiting on the world to change" (by John Mayer), when I first heard it on Kenyan radio back in 2006. Beautiful song. Also guys, I know you read our comments at your TH-cam postings, and here's a humble request from East Africa for a future music/cultural project of yours. "Malaika" (i.e. Angel in Kiswahili), is a Kiswahili love song that was written by Adam Salim of Tanzania (then known as Tanganyika), in 1945. The first known recording of "Malaika" was made by Fadhili William of Kenya in 1960. Tanzania and Kenya are neighbouring countries here in East Africa, and as a result, there continues to be a feud over who "owns" the song "Malaika," and where it originated from. Many Tanzanians insist that their Adam Salim composed "Malaika," while many of us here in Kenya insist that it is our Fadhili William who composed "Malaika." Despite the fact that I am a Kenyan, I personally have long now accepted, that "Malaika" actually originated from our brothers and sisters in neighbouring Tanzania. It's still interesting and entertaining though, to watch Tanzanians and Kenyans go at each other on social media, over who "owns" the iconic Kiswahili love song "Malaika." Since 1960, many covers of "Malaika" have been done by music artistes from different parts of the world, including covers by Miriam Makeba of South Africa, Afro-Caribbean music group "Boney M," Angelique Kidjo of Benin, and Harry Belafonte of America. Miriam Makeba's covers of "Malaika" are among the most popular, and as a matter of fact, many people are under the impression that "Malaika" is a South African song. When Miriam Makeba was an exile from South Africa's Apartheid regime, one of the places she lived for many years, was Tanzania, which is where she learned to speak and sing in Kiswahili. "Malaika's" lyrics and instrumentation are basic and harmonious, and my humble request is that you guys put together a global music collaboration of "Malaika," as best as you can and as best as possible, such as the great global collaboration above of "Waiting on the world to change." I know these projects cost money and involve logistics, and I will fully understand if you guys are unable to schedule "Malaika" right now in your ongoing projects. Guys, please however put "Malaika" in your "to do list," in your "in tray," for future consideration. Do something for us please here, not just in East Africa actually, but in East and Central Africa, where Kiswahili has speakers in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), as well as some parts of Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique. Actually one of the things that helped the spread of Kiswahili was Julius Nyerere's Tanganyika of 1961 to 1964, and Julius Nyerere's Tanzania of 1964 to 1985, when different liberation movements from different parts of Africa were hosted in Tanzania. Oooh, yes, I second this request for a version of Malaika! I am from Belgium and this has always made me want to learn more about the people and cultures in the lands we used to occupy. Malaika is a song I first heard when I was well into my twenties, and it is a beautiful, enchanting song. My favorite version is by Angélique Kidjo, I always hear the waves of water in her version. There is also a beautiful Dutch translation by Belgian singer Ronny Mosuse that I adore, who sings it as if it's a lullaby, he recorded it for a charity he supports that works with children in central Africa. It would be a delight to hear artists from all over the world sing this!

"Malaika" (i.e. Angel in Kiswahili), is a Kiswahili love song that was written by Adam Salim of Tanzania (then known as Tanganyika), in 1945. The first known recording of "Malaika" was made by Fadhili William of Kenya in 1960. Tanzania and Kenya are neighbouring countries here in East Africa, and as a result, there continues to be a feud over who "owns" the song "Malaika," and where it originated from. Many Tanzanians insist that their Adam Salim composed "Malaika," while many of us here in Kenya insist that it is our Fadhili William who composed "Malaika."
Despite the fact that I am a Kenyan, I personally have long now accepted, that "Malaika" actually originated from our brothers and sisters in neighbouring Tanzania. It's still interesting and entertaining though, to watch Tanzanians and Kenyans go at each other on social media, over who "owns" the iconic Kiswahili love song "Malaika."
Since 1960, many covers of "Malaika" have been done by music artistes from different parts of the world, including covers by Miriam Makeba of South Africa, Afro-Caribbean music group "Boney M," Angelique Kidjo of Benin, and Harry Belafonte of America. Miriam Makeba's covers of "Malaika" are among the most popular, and as a matter of fact, many people are under the impression that "Malaika" is a South African song. When Miriam Makeba was an exile from South Africa's Apartheid regime, one of the places she lived for many years, was Tanzania, which is where she learned to speak and sing in Kiswahili.
"Malaika's" lyrics and instrumentation are basic and harmonious, and my humble request is that you guys put together a global music collaboration of "Malaika," as best as you can and as best as possible, such as the great global collaboration above of "Waiting on the world to change."
I know these projects cost money and involve logistics, and I will fully understand if you guys are unable to schedule "Malaika" right now in your ongoing projects.
Guys, please however put "Malaika" in your "to do list," in your "in tray," for future consideration. Do something for us please here, not just in East Africa actually, but in East and Central Africa, where Kiswahili has speakers in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), as well as some parts of Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique. Actually one of the things that helped the spread of Kiswahili was Julius Nyerere's Tanganyika of 1961 to 1964, and Julius Nyerere's Tanzania of 1964 to 1985, when different liberation movements from different parts of Africa were hosted in Tanzania.

Oooh, yes, I second this request for a version of Malaika! I am from Belgium and this has always made me want to learn more about the people and cultures in the lands we used to occupy. Malaika is a song I first heard when I was well into my twenties, and it is a beautiful, enchanting song. My favorite version is by Angélique Kidjo, I always hear the waves of water in her version. There is also a beautiful Dutch translation by Belgian singer Ronny Mosuse that I adore, who sings it as if it's a lullaby, he recorded it for a charity he supports that works with children in central Africa. It would be a delight to hear artists from all over the world sing this!
