    The best way is after you have withdrawn, reopen the goal save and put R1 in it so that when you come back and deposit the money, the interest will have accumilated and your deposit will start at a high interest.

    Great to be here as always!

    I love tyme investment account. The only thing that bores is that it doesn't allow a partial withdrawal , so you withdraw the whole, take what you need then put the rest back. That affects the period of investment, you start from stretch

    Thanks for this video. I was thinking of moving my emergency fund from Capitec to Tyme when I reach 10k, I'm definitely going to give it a try

    • @JennNxumalo
      @JennNxumalo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yohhhhh saving money on Capitec is okay if not looking at making some interest while you are saving. Tyme Bank has really been interesting how easy they make it to save and make interest.

    • @Lelough_
      @Lelough_ 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JennNxumalo You are definitely right about Capitec and no interest. But their flexi fixed account is good if you struggle to save and always want to take it out. You can put in money and only be able to withdraw at the pre-agreed date. It is a good starting point to locking down savings habit.

    I think the Goal save accounts are meant for "goals" - as in sinking funds. Not just for saving for the sake of saving

    • @JennNxumalo
      @JennNxumalo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, you need to attach a goal (purpose to it).

  • @user-yj2em2wi2s
    @user-yj2em2wi2s 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I have reached the maximum amount for a goal save with a significant amount of interest. Would you advise I divide the goal save to maybe 5 goal save and will it not disturb the interest I have already accumulated?

    • @JennNxumalo
      @JennNxumalo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Congratulations first of all 🥳🎊 that is a great pool of savings. If you want to split your goal to various ones means you will have to disturb your interest because you will have to withdraw from the goal save to your everyday account and then create goals again. You will not loose your interest but you will disturb it.

  • @sibusisoswartbooi6430
    @sibusisoswartbooi6430 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    I didn’t know that they require you to withdraw the whole amount even if you wanted half the money. That really sucks. I have one goal for everything and I’m gonna use half the money now in October. Thank you for sharing

    • @JennNxumalo
      @JennNxumalo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I learned when I started as well, it sucks cz you disturb your interest every time you withdraw. Better that you split your goals to specific goals that you have.

    • @andakema1875
      @andakema1875 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      create many goals, and put in little so that when you withdraw from your main goal you can deposit the extra you don't want to withdraw in the next goal. that way you don't have to start a new goal from scratch

    Hi Jennifer can you just clear something for me. If I only want to use the goalsave and not interested in the other features like sending money or being able to shop, it’s not necessary for me to have the account active right?

    • @JennNxumalo
      @JennNxumalo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes its not necessary to have it active. The only limitation it will have is when you want to withdraw money and do an immediate transfer. But for normal transfers you will need the account to be active.

      Interest is calculated on the money the money in the goal save. The more money you put in the more interest you get.
