They were one of the easier crisises my colonies faced. Tri Tachyon on the other hand... Those mercenary fleets were too strong for my fleet at the time, kept disrupting my colony and put me in a death spiral where I had to make ridiculous amounts of money to offset monthly colony expenses. Learned after winning that there were easier ways than fighting off the fleets... By the time I got into fuel I had the Ziggurat and a low level midline station. I added one Paragon to pull aggro and blasted tge dictat's fleets out of the sky like they were nothing! At this point the only thing I haven't fully stopped are AI inspections. Want to see wether there's a way to make the Hegemony stop without decivilizing all their military planets.
I had the opposite problem. I couldn't find the resupply fleets so I eventually gave up and accepted entry into the Persean league. For Tri-Tach, I just went to their systems, destroyed their stations and disrupted all their industries. Done in like 20m.
@@Vractis yeah, once I beat the fleet the screen on what to do to stop them came up for the first time. That's when I realized I could have put an end to it waaaaay earlier... After that I looked up the other crisis events😂 (May have accidentally decived a TT planet by raiding it too often...)
Supposedly stopping their inspections three times stops them for good, at least as long as it gets to the full crisis each time and they aren't averted by lowering the crisis progress.
(no spoilers)If you want another way of stopping their inspections , you can talk with someone important in kazeron and make and interestin deal with them
You actually can speed up your colony crisis: - Not build a Military Base+ - Install as many AI cores as you could, just don't forget to remove them before progress bar will hit 500 (to avoid triggering Hegemony crisis that will disable influence of cores). - Trigger a REDACTED "secret" crisis by creating a colony in system with active Nexus (but be warned that crisis is repeatable until Nexus is destroyed). - Raise a monthly limit from 60 to something bigger in settings file. UPD. Hegemony crisis will not trigger if all planets have at max only 1 Alpha and 1 Beta cores (Alpha is not admin). So you can load only a single planet with Alphas&Betas for being easy to remove them near 500 progress.
PL never declared to be a democracy. It's a ragtag military alliance of small tyrannies, which happen to oppose Hegemony. PL worlds have nothing in common, except being dependent on Kazeron's war machine.
That idea you mentioned about context-sensitivw combat music reminds me about Rain World, which does something like that. The "threat" music is a set of layers of music that get added on top of each other as more enemies are present and they get more aggressive. I think you *could* probably actually do that in Starsector too, with a mod. I think that'd be pretty cool. I kinda want to see if I could do that, actually. What's the mod you have that adds music to combat?
Bit late here but since nonody mentioned it I figured I would. While blowing up the supply fleets breaks the blockade and sends them packing, so does defeating the grand armada fleet. Taking out the commander amd all that.
As this campaign closes to its end I can't wait for the nexerlin modded playthrough next. I hope you add some rules to it btw otherwise it will probably end up with you using a super ship you find for 20 episodes.
No, blowback mechanic is all about not being able to stop colony crisis permanently by farming a lot of pirate/luddit bases. Blowback "regain" some of points you'd removed by killing fleets & destroying bases and AFAIK designed to eventually overcome your efforts in farming enemies.
Hi I found your channel with this series, good stuff! would you be able to find a way to fit the ziggurat in your fleet I’m really interested to see someone play it especially someone being as skilled as you!
heyy new to the game here :) does someone know which mecanic is he using to jump from ship to ship when piloting? if its spoiler dont tell me! thx... amazing content to get to know the game a lil bit!
Oh my, how do you even start to compose a fleet. My fleet looks bigger, yet mine is probably will get wrecked more than yours. It's because I don't know how to compose a good fleet. The development point is what probably is the biggest problem for me. And that piloting too.. Man, sometime I still struggle even just figuring out where to backup, which direction is the shift d or shift a, and getting overfluxed Idk how many times. I'm watching this right now because I will face my first Persean Blockade, I'm really scared. Will my fleet able to hold them.. How are you able to change between two Fury so quickly though? I'm still new btw 😅
Size 6 is the maximum in vanilla, and it represents 100'000 people. Getting to size 7 would mean reaching a population of 1 million, which I guess the devs have decided is not realistic in the current state of the persean sector.
@@ghostbirdlaryOh you're right, it is a million, I forgor. And yes, some core worlds are up at 7 but even so the player is not allowed to reach that high. Colony growth comes from immigration so it would be weird if the player colony could grow to the same size as the largest core worlds in the timespan of the game. They could, of course, allow you to reach size 7 over a reaaaally long time, but I guess they just aren't interested.

Great commentary and a video quality that punches way above the subscriber count. Take my sub.

Thats not very democratic of you blockading a trade partner brother
Reject Democracy
Embrace Managed Democracy

Benny Hill Theme.mp3 escaping the Persean Blockade
Only disappointed that you didn't quickly grabbed the toys on homeworld and went to teach each detachment directly lol
Yeah, the FTL music is such a great fit. I did that too a while ago

In my current 0.97 playthrough, the hypershunt appeared by a regular blue giant. Definitely bigger than the one at 41:00 though.
I think the blowback shows at which point the colony crisis meter will reset to.
I could wrong, but thats my hunch
The higher the blowback, the higher the points when it resets, but I'm pretty sure I had no blowback when it reset.

some of the terraria and calamity mod terraria songs would be good combat music i think

I won't be using it in this series, but I plan to show it off a little bit in future playthroughs.
Thanks that would be great!
Try doing the knight errant quest after the galatia storyline
(Do you hear it? The songs of Creation?)
Curious how you’d setup the long range champions, s-mods etc
I shitted my pant then they sent 14 fleets and two support fleets to blockade me. It turned out that then you kill their supply fleets they flee

It's a skill in the skill tree called "neural link." It's fun, but can be pretty hard to use.
You already knew it resets to half though, or you didnt notice during the pirate and pather events?

It's a skill in the blue tree (Neural link) that allows you to effectively officer two ships at once, and switch between them at the press of a button
