  • In this episode, we meet Dr. Rick Jacoby, a podiatric surgeon and biochemistry expert. He explores the connection between diet and health, focusing on sugar's influence. His explains critical links between genetic disorders, diabetic neuropathy, and nitric oxide's role in nerve function.
Dr. Jacoby explains why sugar is a key factor in modern diseases. He goes deep into the hidden inflammation caused by sugar, often overlooked in common disease diagnoses. From his startling autopsy revelations to the history of medical practices, sugar's role in heart conditions and Alzheimer's becomes clear. It's not just about less sugar; it's about understanding and tackling inflammation at its source.
It's not all gloom and doom though. Offering a ray of hope, Dr. Jacoby discusses human diet evolution and potential stem cell therapies. His work, including his books "Sugar Crush" and the upcoming "How to Get Unglued," provides valuable guidance on navigating sugar's health effects.
Tune in for an engaging episode that might change your view on sugar, health, and living better.

This needs to shouted from the roof tops. I am not shy about flying my freak flag (I'm a Carnivore} and have never felt better. I really think that my Sciatic nerve pain has gone away with just a dietary change.

Dr O this is one of the best interviews on thinking outside the box on TH-cam regarding health! Excellent. I will be buying these books. (I loan yours out to interested people.)
Thank you Dr Jacoby, thank you Dr Ovadia for wanting to heal people not push drugs or chop them up unnecessarily. Both of you are healers. Bless you. You are in my prayers.

Wow!!!!100% agree- why is there such a stronghold on this research?
I have heard enough over the years to be a believer but Dr. J was a witness.
Off to Panama I would go if needed.

Another great one! Thank you, Dr Ovadia and Dr Jacoby for sharing your knowledge to help people get metabolically healthy. Since finding you, Dr. Ovadia, through a comment on a post I read on Instagram, my world has changed and I'm healthier, stronger, and not afraid to go against the grain. I'm spreading the word and helping those around me make better choices to get healthier and not end up on your operating table ;)

I'm in agreement that there is a comment cause for most disease. Now, I'm trying to imagine how this applies to Lipodema. Mine clearly responds well to my Carnivore diet. Yet a better understanding may lead to a better result in reversing the damage. It's more clear to me how it applies to my many neurological and cardiac issues.

The Lucy story cracks me up. Each iteration of Lucy’s evolution leaves mechanistic biological science, and comes across as a bedtime story being read to a five year old. The comedic value derives from the idea that adult professionals believe it as if they witnessed it themselves, and with the faith of a small child that is excited about the fat man in red slipping down the chimney.

At 20 minutes, sugar and carbs do it, but they are digested, metabolized, so is it the glucose doing it?

    Dr Ovadia, I need help
I hope you see this. I’ve been carnivore 18 months. I just found out that my calcium score has increased from 197 to 368. I’m very distressed. I also had a stroke after 11 months, but remained carnivore. All other markers fine except ldl at 400 since very young. I’m 79 years old. Not obese. Only lost 15-20 pounds in 18 mos. Please tell me if I should worry
    Thank you, Mary

Please stop putting yourself down/apologizing for your lack of education in the area. Everyone understood that from the beginning, why keep repeating it?
