"any action is better then inaction ". i appreciate very much the work of all scientists, bilologists and all the peoples they spend their work to protect Natures diversity - for future generations aswell. 🙏

This is such an important video to watch. These birds are on the edge and do not have to go extinct - we have to take actions. As Cali said the worst thing we can do is to not take action at all. Please support the effort called Birds not Mosquitos ... time is running out and we need to move more quickly to deploy these new tools.

When I went to Maui in 2016 I was devastated that I saw 0 birds none!!!! NONE!! Only chickens 🐓… literally got off the plane and was greeted by chickens. Breaks my heart so much … I want to help

Please donate & spread the word! A huge part of the issue, as Dr. Crampton said, is the misinformation about the mosquito control. We need people to get on board so that we can move forward with more mosquito releases on across the state ideally!!
What a beautiful video. I cried 😭. I love how she explains the importance of these birds and just has an inspiring message. Really hope the mosquito releases are working and that they continue!!

We human beings are creating all these problems for other species. It’s sad to see. Eventually we change the environment so much that we lose the environment we need to survive, just as the saying goes: What goes around comes around.

Hope is always important in order to engineer and motivate change. Yes, everything we do has the ability to improve or make things worse- from choosing to use disposables - or deciding against the overproduction and consumption. Climate change will happen, but it can certainly progress more slowly and allow us to adapt.

The equilibrium (stability) of an ecosystem relies primarily on the biodiversity of that system. If all the honeycreepers disappear and they have no other organism to take over their niche (role(s)) in the environment, then the entire system could collapse and shift from a negative feedback loop to a positive feedback loop, which could lead to the desertification of the forest.

Long ago, the Hawaiian birds lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the mosquitos attacked.
I am doing everything I can to teach people on Hawaiii's willdlife.
Bring it attention to state capture and protect them from distinctions and grow them enclosed habit area until we can help grow more of our birds to population Yes mosquito is real issues in hawaii.I guess it's only we able to see and keep them from distinction.

@@robertklotz9319 I thought they had done studies(in North America though) that the biomass of mosquitoes was found to be negligible in the diets of the creatures eating them.

Can you capture a few if those birds and vacinate them. Raise and release after vacination.
