Unfortunately, criminal charges are what give government authority to take him into custody, confine him, and pay for psyche eval to determine criminal liability. Govt could not otherwise force him into a mental hospital.
Our country could do a little better to help those with mental health issues. With that in mind, after there is evaluation and rehabilitation, you are still responsible for any crimes committed. If you ask me, trespassing is too insignificant to charge him for, I would let him go, but if it was a more serious crime, it’s possible he would be the one who wants to serve his time.

The family after this did say he lost no one during 9/11 and was having a mental health issue which they said has been going on for some time.
Trust the authorities just to think about charging him instead of giving the poor man some help that's what's wrong with this world today anything for a buck.

i knew a guy like him who was always in late, so in late
