Emma....I love your channel. At age 71, I am a beginner in watercolor. Thank you for all you teach us! BTW, I *am* a gardener and the stamens are *just* the little sticky up bits. :) The center of the flower is actually the ovary/pistil and style (female parts) and the stamens (anther and filament) are the male parts. The anther holds pollen. Pollen gets transferred to the ovary by wind, bees, etc. and makes seeds. Hope this helps.
Like Pam, I'm a beginning watercolorist. I'm 77. Never too late, eh? BTW, Emma, you are the BEST. Your teaching is excellent, your new technical setup works well, you're obviously a very talented artist, your speaking voice is pleasant to hear, and you're pretty as a picture!
I'm 65 and beginner watercolor and I think I'm going to love it Pam Mastin. Happy I found Emma's channel. :) Glad to know I'm not the only one learning late in this wonderful stage of life. :)
Hi Emma just like Pam Mastin and Claudia Lor I'm learning how to watercolor after 60. I noticed when searching for just the right teachers for me I could not learn from just anyone because of some talented people going too fast of speaking too loudly or not really understanding what it is like to be a beginner and learning online. I love your speaking voice, your family atmosphere (you have a lovely family), and your way of teaching. I love hearing you interact with your baby, hubby, and dog. Take care :)
I never understood how to angle the flowers in different positions. This is the best instruction I've seen on explaining and demonstrating this. Thank you so much! You're a gifted teacher and painter!
Emma… absolutely love your work! You make your classes so real and full of personality. I follow you but just found this lesson. I’ll look for your brushes. Always, always look forward to seeing you. Hi to Matt and Noah!!
Emma, this is just what I needed…drawing the different perspectives with pencil was so helpful. I love your tutorials that share info about how to draw things, e.g., flowers, holiday items, winter clothing…Thanks sooo much, you are the best!!!
Thank you so much for making the perspective SO easy to understand and visualize. You have made it so easy to adapt to just about any type of flower and it is something I have struggled with a lot. I usually work in realism and using a reference photo so copied what I saw without thinking about it. I am just starting to do looser florals and this has made things much easier for me!!!
This was such a good explanation with the flowers and circles to demonstrate! I feel like I can finally understand how to determine which way petals should go. Thank you!
This makes so much sense! Thank you, thank you! I struggle with perspective and your explanation as well as your demonstration is going to be so helpful. You’re the best, Emma!
Emma, love these tutorials, you explain things so well, and as a beginner at age 71, like some others comments here, lots to learn about different views of flowers. I was only painting front views! Thank you
Emma ty so much! I was always afraid to paint or draw because I would make mistakes. You're such a good teacher I really have learned so much from you and your Lil boy is adorable
Loved this replay! Very informative, interesting, and taught me a new way to view flowers 🌺 🌸 when I paint them! Thank you Emma. Teaching is your gift! I’m so glad you have a TH-cam channel 💜💕🌸🌺🌿
Hello Emma. I follow you since a year now and all your tips helped me a lot. Many thanks to you!! And this tuto is just what I needed. Bonjour du Québec!
I follow quite a few watercolorists. I rarely leave comments. But I wanted to let you know that this was one of the most helpful videos I have seen and has already improved my painting. Thank you!
Emma you are amazing! I have being struggling with this and here you come with this awesome class and so easy to understand. Thank you so much for being so eloquent with your teachings. Blessing for you girl 👍👋
Thanks for that very, very helpful tutorial! I'm so happy with my results. I was always struggling with the perspective, but I thInk now I've got it! Thanks!!!
spendid perspective video!!! going out to buy silk flowers from the dollar store...you explain things so well for us visual learners...Thank You so very much Emma!
I have struggled a lot with floral paintings because I didn't understand how to bunch them together.. lol. this video was extremely helpful for me. Thank you for putting time into teaching people, for free! AND IM SO SORRY for some of the rude comment I read. Hurt people unfortunately try to hurt people. 🤷♀️
Wonderful tutorial beep beep!!. Sorry lol. I learned so much from you today, I think you ARE a very talented teacher, that is your calling. Thank you so much, I can honestly say that I finally get the different perspectives. Wish I had known about your initial launch of your brushes, need to check them out. ❤
Emma, I'm first watching this live. Such a helpful lesson on perspective! So helpful because I struggled with this but after your explanation and demonstration, it was such a game saver. Thank you!
Thank you very much for this tutorial which has helped me so much with prospective! I've been hoping to find a tutorial on the subject for a while now and yours is great!
Hi Emma I love your new videos also your illustrations of your family. I wanted you to know that if you ever decide to write a children's book my daughter is a copy editor freelance writer...and I have always showed her how much I love the way you teach. who knows you never know. But you could always let me know she would work with you. May all your dreams come true.
This was very helpful! As a beginner at art, perspective is a huge weakness for me. Doing the drawings really made the painting part make sense. A lot of times, I get frustrated in your other tutorials because I can't "picture" the perspective. Again, this tutorial was VERY helpful!! Thank you!
Thanks for your inspiring videos, I have not done much watercolor art. Learning a lot from your techniques for sure. I like your tips about iPad editing, would you ever do one on just that using iPad and how to use it to edit your work. Thanks so much - Terri Pate
