The last time I watched this movie i thought of: why didn't enough fans supported it?
It was actually very accurate. Even though Jaime was not the Jace in our heads, he actually personifies the cold Jace we all met from the books. That cold and not interested mask Jace wears all of the time in the first part of the saga :/

This movie was released in 2013 (but it wasn't received well enough for a sequel). It was eventually followed up with the Shadowhunters series. I still think the casting of the two leads was much better, but the series' other characters brought the original writing to life.
