my heart aches for corey🥺 i can't even fathom the pain she felt. losing your husband and sweet fur baby, then finding out the person you loved with your whole heart, who you've bent over backwards for to give a comfortable life and his partner were the ones at fault - i truly just cant even wrap my head around it. jackie and nicks sentences are a joke! if i were corey, i'd probably end up in jail myself due to the anger i feel at the fact that the ones responsible for my partners murder are basically getting a slap on the wrist! true justice would have been all of the ones involved getting life without parole. i can't comprehend living my life knowing that the girl responsible in part for my husbands murder is just walking around living a normal life. i'm honestly just disgusted that THIS is how big of a joke our justice system is!
This case is so heartbreaking in so many ways. A woman loses her husband, two brothers have lost their baby brother, and it was all because of a greedy selfish son who the couple had the heart to give a home and a family through adoption! I hope Nick, his girlfriend and everyone else involved in the murder rot in hell and that Ted rests in piece and that Corey and the rest of Ted's family finds healing and peace.
I genuinely find it odd that all coverage of this case focuses so much on his adoption. The adoption was irrelevant. Children kill their parents and vice versa, which is horrible. But the adoption doesn't have anything to do with it.
hi bella! i love your videos and watch them every week you upload. i’m hoping you can cover a missing person case that is my aunt deanne hastings. she went missing in 2015 and nothing has ever been done to help solve her case. our family would love to get more attention to this and maybe hopefully receive more answers. thank you 💗
I have literally watched your videos for years! It actually inspired me to just follow my interest and I did a criminology degree, graduated last year. Now I’m working as a domestic abuse advocate and love my job! So big up Bella🫶🏻
Absolutely disgusting that Jackie didn’t have a proper sentencing and jail time. The justice system is a joke. My heart goes out to Corey, this is so devastating. Nick is a disgusting selfish excuse of a person.
The only thing I don't agree with when people talk about this case is saying "they adopted their killer" the adoption has nothing to do with this. He was their child. The same as if she birthed him. Their CHILD committed this. And I think it can be harmful in creating a stigma around adopted children.
Idk I've seen quite a few true crime stories where an adopted child turned out to be the perpetrator against their family. Maybe there are common factors regarding emotional development and the ability to bond with adopted parents.
Right! There are so many cases of biological children killing their parents but you don't see people saying stop having children because they may become killers
I literally just grabbed my phone because I was like “Bella said TWO videos this week where is it, did I miss it?” & your notification was RIGHT THERE 🤣
How can someone be so evil?! These people literally saved his life and gave him everything he needed, protected him, supported him, etc. Many children could only dream about a childhood he had. Pure evil. 😔 Corey‘s 999 calls are heartbraking.
Your videos never show up in my suggested or whatever. I haven’t watched one in years even though I’m a subscriber. It’s so weird. I just made sure I got a notification for every video. 🎉❤
Wow. It deeply saddens me how Nick could do something like that to his adopted parents who gave him everything. My heart cries with Corey as she was betrayed and stabbed on their back by their adopted son and daughter-in-law. And I believe Jackie was more involved in all of these and that she should have given a longer sentence. My ghad. What a monsters! I hope they will be haunted by their crimes ‘til the end.
Many murderers come from awful backgrounds and, while that doesn’t excuse anything, it at least gives a context to their mercilessness. But this case? It’s so chilling that he was so loved and supported, and he still chose to kill them. It’s the height of evil.
Thank you for sharing this story that shows that kindness is a fight against a freakishly ruthless world. It's so sad and evil that there was no gratitude on Nick's side for all his parents did for him. There are children of biological parents who were never this wanted.
it kills me how many great kids grow up in foster systems unwanted and alone without a family and something like this happens. how sick and ungrateful nick was to take a great, loving family for granted that SO many others spent and spend their lives wishing they had. disgusting. and to think he could get out one day... hopefully he is very uncomfortable in prison.
The second you said they adopted a kid, I just knew it would be him. I hoped I was wrong but there was so many stories like this. Sometimes I think adopted kids don't always end up loving their adoptive parents the way the adoptive parents love their kid. they just view them as people who gave them a house & money.
I've been watching you for years, Bella, and you are one of my inspirations. You have inspired me to start my own True Crime channel about murder cases in Jamaica 😊 You are an inspiration ❤
I hope Corey is okay with those phone calls being shared. It's so hard to hear her so broken. And she really wanted to be with him while he died but never got to be. I just wish this never happened. What a horrible call to make. And she went right to her son for comfort after her husband died. "I need you". Then housed him and his girlfriend until everything fell apart again. That breaks my heart so bad. She deserves the world to make up for all the shit she's had to endure. Also the guy who said "if you're offered 100k, you're gonna think about it" no?? Jackie's sentencing as well, just what the fuck. Corey not talking to Nick but writing letters she never sends is so cool and strong. Rest easy Ted + pup.
I think people are more appreciative of the information, research, format etc etc that Bella puts into reporting these cases to us. Rather than being hyped up about what she is reporting about. But idk I could be wrong.
I've just read about Laura, my goodness it breaks my heart. Her poor family. I really really hope that some online creators cover her case as it seems like one of those "someone must know something" cases.
He truly had the perfect life and the most perfect parents who clearly loved him unconditionally and he threw it away for money. Most families are happy and never get close to a rich life because what matters is the people around you. It breaks my heart .
Not enough comments are talking about the fact that his best friend and the other man he tried to hire knew. They may not have been directly involved but they were told flat out and didn’t try to stop him or report him.
This story broke my heart the first time I heard it. Plus, these stories of kids killing their parents, especially when they were supposedly close to their parents, are terrifying. I recently told my grown daughter about my life insurance and how much she would get. Then I looked at her and said, “Don’t get any ideas. You’ll probably never get it if I’m murdered.” She couldn’t believe I said that, but I watch too much true crime to think it wouldn’t be possible.

“bc ghosts can’t talk & im supposed to be dead” was a great line there. my heart is with her 😢
would really love to hear you do one on Nurul Huda Abdul Ghani (Malaysia). This case shocked the entire nation.
when Corey said "ghost cant talk and I am meant to be dead" gave me chills
I live in Austin, and never heard about this! 😔 born and raised here.
I was just about to comment the same thing! Not born and raised here, but currently living here and never heard of it!
Same all my life! and never heard of this
You guys get guns for birthdays and give it to children, but you dont read papers and news and learn things 😅
Are you working in the govt?
Congratulations 👏 well done
Wow! That's awesome! Cheers to you, I hope you have the experience of helping many people in your work.
Love this for you!!
Congrats 🥳 I’m thinking about it too! Where did you study and was it hard?
Beyond sick. This case is so heartbreaking.
I literally just grabbed my phone because I was like “Bella said TWO videos this week where is it, did I miss it?” & your notification was RIGHT THERE 🤣
The pain that surged through my body when she cried over the phone asking Nick that she needs him and dad's dead💔💔💔 oh my dear Father in heaven.
Loved the video but i do wish it wasnt given away in the title. Wouldve been much better to keep it a mystery x
I've heard this story before. You did an excellent job telling it.
Unrelated to the case but that colour jumper really brings out your eyes (at least to me) so pretty!
Truly heartbreaking case. I feel for Ted, Corey and the dogs ❤❤
Oh my my jaw dropped when I found out it was the son 🤯 He had everything but he threw it all away dooming himself
the saddest part was that he shot the dog :( and corey's phone call to 911 was just truly so sad.
My mom is a Licensed Social Worker and always told me not to adopt because of this. It happens way more often than you’d think..
had to pick my jaw up off the floor but only after wiping the countless tears away from those heart breaking phone calls of corey’s💔
Let that sun shine! You look beautiful Bella!
When Nick started throwing out all these possible motives & scenarios of random other people- i know a red herring when i hear one!
Absolutely fantastic video mate, thank you
Omg yes Bella! Another video so soon ❤
Great way you told the story!
You can get UV sticky adhesive to put on the window whichll help with the glare
it kills me how many great kids grow up in foster systems unwanted and alone without a family and something like this happens. how sick and ungrateful nick was to take a great, loving family for granted that SO many others spent and spend their lives wishing they had. disgusting. and to think he could get out one day... hopefully he is very uncomfortable in prison.
The second you said they adopted a kid, I just knew it would be him. I hoped I was wrong but there was so many stories like this. Sometimes I think adopted kids don't always end up loving their adoptive parents the way the adoptive parents love their kid. they just view them as people who gave them a house & money.
What about the kids who aren't adopted?
Obviously because of the video title. Wow smart
I’m ENRAGED that Jackie didn’t get prison time. She needs to be in prison for at least 10 years.
Bella b telling some wild cases but u wanna watch bcuz of the "HI! It's Bella!😁" it's like the good news b4 the bad😂😂😂
I've been watching you for years, Bella, and you are one of my inspirations. You have inspired me to start my own True Crime channel about murder cases in Jamaica 😊
You are an inspiration ❤
Rest easy Ted + pup.
i hate looking through the comment section sometimes, you wouldn't even think there was a murder case being reported
I was just thinking the same thing
Yes! I find it so strange when people say they are so happy she has posted. But the video is about people who have died
It's always rubbed me the wrong way, don't get me wrong I love Bella but it's a bit much sometimes.
I think people are more appreciative of the information, research, format etc etc that Bella puts into reporting these cases to us. Rather than being hyped up about what she is reporting about. But idk I could be wrong.
We are just appreciating her hard work
Hearing that Nick and Jaclyn were 19 at the time blew my mind because I honestly thought they looked to be in their early 30s
Hi!, can you do the case of Laura ronning of camp cuyuga?, my mom left the camp THE NIGHT she was killed, she had a bad feeling and left
Nick: *kills father*
Also Nick: “That’s not who I am”
Helloo
Thanks for this❤
Love from Fiji ❤
Love you and the way you give us this content ❤
We love you Bella ❤
I love your accent & you’re a great story teller/narrator!! 😍😍
Ted and Bart's killer
I'm deeply sorry for Bart. He was murdered while trying to protect his family. He deserves so much more acknowledgement
Not enough comments are talking about the fact that his best friend and the other man he tried to hire knew. They may not have been directly involved but they were told flat out and didn’t try to stop him or report him.
Not about the story but I just moved to Australia and didn’t realize MAFS was such a big thing here! But it’s amazing!
Screamed to see that you uploaded! Love all your videos🫶🏻
I love the channel would you considering naming the videos in way that doesn't tell us who the suspects and the convicted are?
Nick and Jackie probably got married so they wouldn't be forced to testify against each other.
Mmm sounds possible.
I’m thinking Jackie convinced him to marry her to secure her finances. Maybe something would have happened to nick next. Who knows.
This is so sick that Nick would allow his own mom and his only friend to be incriminated and investigated instead of coming clean.
32:51 this is exactly why they ask for my license and ssn when I try to deposit money into my dad's account for him 😂
From Austin Texas my boyfriend went to school with him definitely still talked about in the community
I couldn’t stop admiring your hair 😍
Please share where you’ve gotten your hair cut in London x
This story broke my heart the first time I heard it. Plus, these stories of kids killing their parents, especially when they were supposedly close to their parents, are terrifying. I recently told my grown daughter about my life insurance and how much she would get. Then I looked at her and said, “Don’t get any ideas. You’ll probably never get it if I’m murdered.” She couldn’t believe I said that, but I watch too much true crime to think it wouldn’t be possible.
This is your color!!!! The sweater is giving
Hey Bella you should research the case of Denise Huskins, I just watched the documentary and it’s really interesting.
I’ve been a fan of yours for many years, all the love❤️
