I’ve had to pause to comment because you’ve made me laugh out loud with your Knitting For Olive colour observation 😂🤣 YES!!! The colours are muddy, rather than vibrant. The 💩 filter is so accurate 😂 I will definitely be using ‘💩 filter’ in future, so thank you 😁
My favorite project of last year is my purl soho half and half wrap. I started it in June 2023 when I studying abroad in Florence, and worked on it throughout my final year of college. It's an heirloom piece that I hope to pass down to my kids one day when they go off on their wild adventures in their 20s. There's a lot of memories attached to it. I finished it in November and its the perfect shawlanket. I'm working on my swatch for my next giant, long term garter stitch project, an Elizabeth Zimmerman Hand-to-Hand sweater. Here's to another year of awesome knits!
re: poet's slipover, if you put the vest in the freezer until it's cold to the touch, slowly frog it and put it back in the freezer when it starts to feel warm again. that should do it. i've successfully frogged laceweight suri this way, and i got the tip from someone talking about mohair. zero damage to the suri when i used the freezer and went slow.
Thanks for the tip! I‘ve heard about it and also put a fluffy alpaca hat in my freezer since then … where it is currently still hanging out, 8 months later 🤡
Yes I know, I decided in editing that the video would be way too overloaded visually. I‘ll keep it in mind for future videos though ☺️ I’ve also linked my Ravelry, there‘s multiple pictures of every project. ❣️
Just cast on the small and stupid hat while watching this!! I think the Christmas last jumper is soooo beautiful! The work that went into that omg 😮 and I still think it’s so cool you made a bag from the felted smiley jumper wtf 😂
I can‘t wait to see your hat, I hope you love knitting it 🥰 and me too girl, every time i wear that bag i think to myself „I can’t believe I pulled that off“ 😂
Love this (and all your videos)! For next year, it would be wonderful if you could enlarge the picture about the item that you're talking about - but I then just switched from watching on my phone to my laptop and it was fine. Thanks :))
Yes someone else brought that up too! I figured in editing that putting even more images into the video might actually make it too chaotic, but i‘ll come up with a different solution for the next time i make a video like this 🩷
Totally 100% agree on the lifeline vs just ripping back and then picking up the live stiches. Putting in a lifeline is super fiddely and I don‘t see the benefit.
I am cackling at the tier categories - so good!!

The shawl sounds wonderful, i‘m sure it‘ll be treasured for generations! Hope you have just as much fun with your next one ☺️
