Also, him watching Asmon for the first time and just immediately clocking every instance of ragebaiting and content farming, I think T1 might be surprisingly one of the most emotionally intelligent people on twitch. I need to be more like him and just see everything as the content it is.
I'm surprised how little they actually communicate. There is more text communication in my groups than this. Multiple people felt it was wrong to go middle but noone said anything, absolutely incredible.

yeah pirate roached it out but even if yamato was closer, he was absolutely useless and did nothing. went out of the dungeon with evasion and disp not on cd. Ambarassing.
@@ThisToxic gouge, stun, disorient mobs. but as soon as 3rd pack was pulled by bad jumping from tauren it was over. mage could try to help more but it is irrelevant he couldnt nova mobs as they were behind the boss. he had to run past boss nova and run past back to boss and while doing that how ogres and same race mobs work are if he did dmg to other ogres he would pull agro from boss and boss would start attacking him as soon as he did ice nova. Initial call should have been RUN BUT STICK TOGETHER. ( this is totally different from RUN which means you are on your own save urselves.) but this call would not matter as tauren pulled third pack because he decided to jump around for no reason and jumped in agro range of third pack.

tyler's whole take is yamato is having a hard time accepting the reality that not all people are heroes. In times of crisis some people panic, some people dont panic. Some people only care about themselves, some others put themselves at risk to help even strangers. That's what Tyler is trying to explain and it's incredibly based. What I find fucking hilarious the introduction of Asmongold, who has a proven track record of not being one of those selfless individuals I was just describing. We get to see him view this incident through that selfish lens and see no fault in Pirate's actions. This whole hardcore wow saga is truly better than television.

Also keep in mind Yamato is a League player first and foremost. He is hardwired to teamfight and stay close to the threat and get everyone out alive - unless its actually fully lost. This is what he is good at. I think a lot of people misunderstood that. He kites and tries to get everyone out. Game knowledge aside he is a team player

Imagine yamato told his team to not fight an objective/ don't fight and 2 people run in 2v5 and die. Surely yamato wouldn't insult them and instead admit that he himself maybe could have saved them in a 3v5. The guy is a clown.
Damn, a masterclass in advanced team management by Tyler1. imo, he's handling this really emotionally charged situation with maturity, and finding nuance and thinking about the group. He develops an initial judgement, and then he's trying to see all sides, talking to everyone in the situation. If you want to get a promotion to management at your job, this is a really good showcase of good leadership.

So hearing his new additions was a lower priority than hearing pirate finally talk to him, who was another party member responsible for the fiasco that the dungeon became. 2. He later got onto a voice channel so he could get a one-on-one with piratesoftware. in the video, yamato joins, and interrupts while piratesoftware is trying to give the warchief his side of what went down. to me, telling Yamato to stop interjecting, so pirate can finish was necessary because getting Pirate's side was inportant. Thehe chats and raid members, like yamato, were raging about Pirate's lack of accountability and decision making, so getting a clear picture of this without him being tilted is a prio. now, for him telling Yamato to directly stfu, sure it may sound immature to you if you are just looking at what i'm saying, but if you listen to what tyla had to say when he was talking to yamato after Pirate dc'ed, you would understand. Tyler is comfortable being more direct with Yamato, because they have a closer and more casual relationship. That's why they can rage bait each other and still be cool with each other. But if you acted that way to someone you don't know then 100% it would be weird and immature.

Pirate's attitude is the one you should have when the people who fucked up try to rope you into to taking responsibility for there mistakes and you try to shout them down and talk over them. Get bent
Something a lot of people don't know about classic WoW: Wolf, dog, and hyena mobs have larger aggro radiuses than other mobs, they have an even larger aggro radius if they have 'Hungry, Starving, Rabid, or Guard' in their name, for example 'Guard Dog' or 'Starving Wolf'. This goes for any other type of mob in the game. If they have 'Guard, Defender, or Sentry' - they will have a larger aggro radius but a shorter leash range. Sentry mobs will also usually have the ability to detect stealth. Almost all non-wild dogs have stealth detection. Some descriptors can tell you if the mob might have thrash or offensive abilities vs defensive ones. You can tell a lot about a mob from the descriptors used in their names - only in Classic though, as Blizzard abandoned this concept in future expansions.
11:33 The druid jumps backwards unnecessarily and aggros another pack. You can tell it's the druid since the frost spelling coming in from the extra pack hits him, indicating he had aggro.

It's the rogue projecting for me, he's saying Pirate didn't help, well let's go over what the rogue done. 1, Called for everyone to run 2, Tried to blind the boss. Who is immune to blind. CC wasted, useless. 3, Did not cast a single gouge or stun. 4, While instructed to run told the druid and priest to go back in to assist the tank. 5, priest was pancaked like Pirate would have been running past. 6, Druid picked up another pack. 7, Calling someone out for running while people are trying to think and survive - not helping. 8 Just leaves having killed two people with bad calls. Rogue then says " I dont call shots bro" . Then say later on call with T1 how they "saved" the tank calling the Priest/Druid back to die. Least Pirate didn't confuse the situation and actually slowed the mobs. Far more than the projecting Rogue.
Seems like that's the case. I know next to nothing about WoW but didn't their healer Sara die because they turned around to help? I think healer lives if they don't turn to help heal tank and now tank lives instead. Tyler1 seems spot on in the analysis and these hypothetical What ifs seem like straight ragebait at this point.

Why is everyone talking about the Mage and is no one talking about the Rogue? Who did... _nothing._ Literally... nothing. Essentially full health when he left the dungeon. Ergo, he didn't take a single risk to attempt a single thing to try and help out his allies. One person made a _bad_ play, the tank. Two people made no plays... the Mage _and_ the Rogue. The druid? He has only himself to blame for his death. Bad pulls are going to happen. You can play a thousand dungeons perfectly in sync with everyone locked in, it's still going to happen. That's why you have a mage in the party, unless something goes catastrophic or the mage is incompetent, there really should be no deaths in any dungeon even with bad pulls and mistakes.
@bigpep7987 That tank made 100 mistakes that led to that situation - yeah the Mage pussied out, the rogue utterly failed to help too - end of the day, the Reason they were in that situation was the Tank. He bodypulled, failed to LoS the caster and move back from the ramp that led directly to pulling a 2nd pack, backpeddeled, pulled a Marked Boss, got smacked in the back several times while the rogue panicked and told everyone to Run 🤣 This is a fine if example of how Not to Tank. To say nothing of going through the Middle dyring a Trubute run on Hardcore; just Asking for trouble. If that was a Tank in any raid of mine, I'd be asking if he was New to Tanking. Terribly done. Anyone who doesn't see this hasn't tanked or is themselves terrible at it.
Yeah, but the healer exploded and the boss (first in view) charges the characte rfurthest away with in range. If they'ed just pulled back and not "run run run run" they could have handle it.

Tank Pulled before casters were full at mana. Yamato was in indecisive shot caller. He called for a retreat then changed his mind. They never should have stopped, they should have kept running and they would have lived. Yamato/rouge also did more jumping and running than DPS. Druid jumped into pack on the side and pulled more mobs when they were already overwhelmed. Sara died a hero trying to save a group of numbskulls. Mage didn't do anything wrong, he couldn't have CCed with nova because the bosses were immune.
Could have nova'd a couple mobs, but by the point he could have turned around with Yamato being indecisive, it'd only get a couple; the things that killed people wound up being the extra packs pulled anyway, outside of all his CC range, even if he had tapped his mana gem and robe. A caster was going untanked, mastiffs everywhere and feared to be everywhere, healer with aggro from so many things, and a druid still jumping everywhere between bear and cat while he had aggro, all while Yamato was attacking every now and then and backing back and forth and in and out with 0 CCs used. Sara died a hero. Mage did some minor things wrong, but wouldn't have changed things, just moved the grave markers about 20 feet further to the door.
I think it's his attitude towards the situation that has made people blame him. Humans are funny in the way they will ignore the facts in order to hate someone they already dislike even more, if possible. People see his attitude and it gets them angry enough to justify lying to themselves about who's at fault here, following the social wave of anger with pack mentality. He basically activated a real life social taunt onto himself, pulling the aggro from people who apologized or worded things better to an audience

@@splatmarina They probably wouldn't have. The boss is the source of 70%+ of the damage they're taking, and the boss is immune to slow. The mage would have made no difference there. The best they could have done was to abandon Snupy after he over-pulled. That way there would only have been 1 death instead of 2.

The shotcaller was awful and the druid was trolling. Sara dying is what happens when someone tries to help a team that has no clue what they're doing. The shotcaller magically expects people to know when to obey and when to disobey. That means the shotcaller wants the team to carry him. But somehow this is Pirate's fault lmao. And poor Sara tried to listen to these clowns flipflopping every 5 seconds, and she ended up paying the price. For what? I’m a simple man who doesn’t play this game. The early call was to run, then they asked why he was running. Ineffective communication leads to conflict. Go figure.

Pirate is right, whole group went into this dungeon twice unprepared, unorganized, and they played like shit. The tank was trying to get everyone killed when standing still while being told a boss was coming. The tank should have been left to die after he pulled the boss because he's apparently blind and deaf. Instead two people got killed after being told to turn and re-engage by the moron who called a run. Congratulations, instead of having to re-level one tank, they now need a new healer, Druid, Mage, and enchanter. Good job, nice "salvage". For the life of me, I can't see how this is difficult. The call was made to run. He left. He turned back like 2 times and was on pace with sara at the ramp till yamato called heals (not shot caller btw) to stop and heal tank. Pirate kept trucking. Its pretty obvious he didn't wanna lose the hours on his char. None of them did. Tank fucked the pull and everything after that was floundering. Hes not obligated to try and save anyone after they botched the pull. End of the day, tank shoulda pulled better and yamato shouldnt have waffled on his not shot caller calls. He traded two for one instead of cutting losses and 4 leaving.
Yam being pissed at Thor for not doing more while literally doing nothing himself while having evasion, and vanish up is fucking wild. No gouges no kidney. And by dicking around on that ramp he baits the druid to body pull 3rd group.

Could have just lost Ozy and had to re-level one character. Instead they tried to "salvage" it and got two people killed, and are mad the person with all the enchanting mats ran, when told to do so, so the guilds mats didn't get deleted. Someone needs to make a timer for how long it takes to Ozy and/or Yamato to get the next person killed. These two have no idea how to play hardcore.

As a very experienced raid lead, I think this purely falls on Yamdef. Even told people as we worked on things "do my call outs, if I'm wrong and things happen that's my fault." He made a call he regrets, I've been there and made the same mistake yamdef has made here.
@byaialele5916 call was late and matches my description. He was too hasty and didn't aid proactively in the attempted fall back. Yamdef is spinning this to try to save face and avoid the fact his calls solidified both their deaths. He is the raid lead. He has to own when people listened to him. He mad additional calls which lead the healers death because they did respond to him while he was playing risky and careless for them as well. He didn't attempt to keep some pressure on an add to pull it away or kill it/cc. He did exactly as Thor did but doesn't want to admit he's exactly the same. He is their raid lead in this instance. I believe had Thor done what he said Thor was risking his own life as the man's calls already had sealed the healers fate. It sucks but it does fall on Yamdef and if he wanted to be their leader he needs to set his ego aside and own that his calls were the source of every issue in this event. Spreading blame is just trying to alleviate his own guilt. He is trying to demand others feel guilt for listening to him. It's a poor quality for a shotcaller in these communities.

I just cant get enough of this, Tyler and Soda should co lead the guild with Tyler sorting drama and being the face and Soda being the admin. So basically the arrangement that happens if Soda loses the duel. Soda should throw the duel. Tyler is a natural leader and its shocking how good he is, I got the complete wrong idea of him from random LoL clips. I literally run in from work everyday to watch the vods and videos, this is the best thing to hit youtube in a long time. Tyler stay in wow, your the hero we need but do not at all deserve.
This entire situation is Yamato’s fault. From a military standpoint, you make a call and you commit to it. Your communication needs to be clear and concise while being efficient, effective, and with a clear endpoint. As soon as Yamato called run, they should have kept running and committed to the call. The issue here is that you have an inexperienced player leading your group, that’s how people get killed and that’s how you start a panic. You make a call and you commit to it, if that call changes then you make sure everyone is on the same page, otherwise commit to the call until the panic subsides then regroup and try again. We see it all the time in real life and you’re experiencing it now in a game. What really needs to happen here, in my opinion, is that Yamato needs to take responsibility for his shortcoming as a leader. Pirate admits he could’ve played it better, but the primary issue is not even that. The primary issue is that you had someone leading this group that shouldn’t have even been there in the first place. All the examples of Mages used were people who could have taken total control of the situation and directed everyone appropriately. That responsibility here was Yamato’s and he failed plain and simple. Yamato failed to lead two of his guild mates responsibly and he got them killed. Pirate didn’t rat, he followed orders and if you can’t see that then you need better party leaders and raid leaders in your guild. If you can’t take control of your team, you shouldn’t be leading it. Don't make a callout if you're not confident or sound in your judgement, emotionally compromised rash and uneducated decisions lead to high-risk situations that get people killed and that's exactly what happened here. Yamato should not have been making any calls here whatsoever. In all honesty, Ozy should have taken better charge of the situation just as well. Snupy panicked and it got him killed, Sara stayed and selflessly saved Ozy, and Pirate saved himself, that's all there is to it.
Wow groups arent the military, dude. Lmfao. Mage has crazy utility for CC which was not utilized at all. He could have ran safely while supporting everyone else to get out as well. Dude roached super hard. Was it his fault it was a bad pull? No. But, they could have salvaged the situation. Played so many hardcore games where you are risking 100-300hr time investments if not more and you very quickly learn to find the other guys willing to play for the group to risk their own time to potentially save others because when everyone plays like that you're more likely to all come out of it better off. When you find out someone plays for their own time (which is completely fine btw) you tend to let them play with others doing the same. Never mix the two types of players or you end up with this. The guy definitely should've just put his hands up and said he done it to save his own ass and he could've played better. Not smart to say you played it perfectly because that's just inviting criticism and showing an inflated ego

Rogue is flaming the Mage and giving bad calls to salvage it. Priest runs back in and dies because of it. Mage bails because he doesnt know these people and doesnt want to risk anything. Rogue accuses Mage of abandoning them and that he should have done more. Mage doesnt think that he played perfect but that he had no responsibly for anything because Tank and Druid fucked it up so he wont apologize. Thats how I see it as someone who never played a game of WoW in my life.

Thor not even trying to check the situation when he was already more than 2 screens away is definitely on him, but otherwise the most important point Tyler actuallly made here is that Thor barely knew these people. Soda was going on about how it's perfectly ok to blizzard or nova again there, because "you know the tank is sundering the boss and there is 0 chance you pull aggro" but honestly, that is only an assumption you can safely make when you know your tank and know how calm he is in these situations. If I did this with a bunch of random people, I hear someone go "run" and everyone turning to run, then I would absolutely not have confidence that the tank is still trying to maintain aggro of the boss. So at least from that angle the whole "I did not want to get close to a boss that could onetap me, just in order to try and cc." argument did make sense. I think what turned the aftermath into such a shitshow was that after everyone already had bad vibes because of the first run, everyone was perfectly set to blow up over nothing and the idea that Yamato 1. made the call to run 2. then went back on that and called it salvageable, getting the priest killed and afterwards 3. immediately singled out Thor was already bad enough and Thor having an already massive ego and not wanting to admit that he just let 2 people die sealed the deal. I'd imagine if Yamato simply shut up there for a second and didn't start pointing fingers the moment they were out of the dungeon, there would have been a better chance at having Thor admit fault. Hell, Yamato brings up "having humanity" over and over again, but considering Ozy was the one that fucked up the pull, I hope that Yamato realizes Sara having that humanity and actually listening to him when he claimed the situation was salvageable is what led to them, rather than the person that made the mistake dying, so the preaching seems kinda odd. However the sheer number of days that Thor doubled and tripled down and him trying to get other streamers banned is simply unhinged and the latter definitely made it the right call to gkick him. Fucking up is fine, refusing to admit fault during a heated exchange is still fine, still not admitting fault days later after cooling down is questionable, but also pretty common behaviour sadly. However wanting to destroy peoples livelihood because they blamed you for 2 character-deaths is the true rat behaviour here and I hope Thor thinks about just how much that part damaged his reputation, because the ban threats are the one thing here that go far beyond just "people being mad about a 20 year old game".
It is more than 2 character-deaths, it is Thor getting hate-traind, view botted and getting death threats both for WoW and for his IRL life along with the same death threat happening to his mods. After a streamer pushes their community for that behaviour, imo it is not that unbelievable that he is pushing for the banning of those streamers. Is Thor completely right? I’ve heard a few takes on this. Granted, I haven’t touched WoW in years; to me Pirate is getting a lot of undue hate and blame. DM is a notorious pull threat. As much as anything other threat aspect in DM. From the footage, the reactions and initial conversation from where I stand: the close call before the “climax” of the issue said a lot. At the point where they made it out-that should have been the pause, plan, and regroup stage. This was not done. Then there was time-constraint, a fumble on standard safe play. And then a push deeper, panic, run call given, half-followed, half-assed attempt to jump back into it. Resources were drained before the problem peaked. Players don’t understand mechanics, “you have enough mana”, don’t understand threat calculations, don’t understand following a run order, panic pulling more mobs. Character deaths, and then trying to blame a survivor. It’s dumb. The “it’s salvageable” was kind of all I needed to hear. It wasn’t. The follow up of “snowball” when the threat is resistant. Pirate was in the right. People are mad that he was good at being right (quick disengage). In hardcore, I would not have done anything differently from Pirate. The run call was given. He was just good, utilized blink. Legit not his fault the others half-assed tried to run face-tank.

Honestly at that point, I'm out regardless of what class I'm on. You pull 3 packs and one of those is a boss you were told was walking towards you but you just say there going "DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR", I'm gone. Have fun in that grave you dug.
The 'this is still salvageable' is 100% cope and denial. 2 mobs and a boss = time to go, PERIOD. 'frost nova?' - theres a boss. bosses are immune to that shit. The only bad call here was to not immediately make the maddest dash to the entrance. They stopped and stutter-fought every opportunity. 2 deaths was a mid outcome. Dashing out would've saved everyone. The stutter-fighting almost cost more deaths, and had Pirate stayed: everyone else was clearly unsure. Him staying would have emboldened them to stay, and most likely would have resulted in MORE deaths, if not a complete party wipe. Anyone defending yamato at this point is just a dickrider, and honestly, if a game is causing this much drama in your life (whether involved or spectator)--- perhaps, consider another game and/or streamer.
Imo it's a fairly simple play. Like you say they need to make a clear call to dash out. As they all kite back towards the entrance, the tank needs to keep aggro on the boss. The boss doesn't hit thaaat hard so priest and druid use hots and shield on the tank as they run. Mage frost Nova the mobs. But then again it's HC and simple plays go out the window in emergency situations due to fear and panic... I don't think it's fair to blame Pirate for this. Let's say Pirate and Ahmpy had swapped places. Would Ahmpy have saved it? For sure. But Pirate isn't a pro mage so it can't really be expected of him. I would place the blame on Ozy. Bad strategy to go through the middle. Bad idea to pull a pack as the boss is about to patrol back. Bad idea to not pull the pack further back. Bad calls during the fight. Can't afford to be this nonchalant in a tribute run.

@@ThisToxic gouge, stun, disorient mobs. but as soon as 3rd pack was pulled by bad jumping from tauren it was over. mage could try to help more but it is irrelevant he couldnt nova mobs as they were behind the boss. he had to run past boss nova and run past back to boss and while doing that how ogres and same race mobs work are if he did dmg to other ogres he would pull agro from boss and boss would start attacking him as soon as he did ice nova. Initial call should have been RUN BUT STICK TOGETHER. ( this is totally different from RUN which means you are on your own save urselves.) but this call would not matter as tauren pulled third pack because he decided to jump around for no reason and jumped in agro range of third pack.

1. He heard Yamato talk one-on-one, earlier. So hearing his new additions was a lower priority than hearing pirate finally talk to him, who was another party member responsible for the fiasco that the dungeon became.
2. He later got onto a voice channel so he could get a one-on-one with piratesoftware. in the video, yamato joins, and interrupts while piratesoftware is trying to give the warchief his side of what went down.
to me, telling Yamato to stop interjecting, so pirate can finish was necessary because getting Pirate's side was inportant. Thehe chats and raid members, like yamato, were raging about Pirate's lack of accountability and decision making, so getting a clear picture of this without him being tilted is a prio.
now, for him telling Yamato to directly stfu, sure it may sound immature to you if you are just looking at what i'm saying, but if you listen to what tyla had to say when he was talking to yamato after Pirate dc'ed, you would understand. Something a lot of people don't know about classic WoW:
Wolf, dog, and hyena mobs have larger aggro radiuses than other mobs, they have an even larger aggro radius if they have 'Hungry, Starving, Rabid, or Guard' in their name, for example 'Guard Dog' or 'Starving Wolf'.
This goes for any other type of mob in the game. If they have 'Guard, Defender, or Sentry' - they will have a larger aggro radius but a shorter leash range. Sentry mobs will also usually have the ability to detect stealth. Almost all non-wild dogs have stealth detection.
Some descriptors can tell you if the mob might have thrash or offensive abilities vs defensive ones.
You can tell a lot about a mob from the descriptors used in their names - only in Classic though, as Blizzard abandoned this concept in future expansions.

8 Just leaves having killed two people with bad calls. Rogue then says " I dont call shots bro" . Then say later on call with T1 how they "saved" the tank calling the Priest/Druid back to die.

Could the Mage have done more? For sure. So could the Rogue. Neither did anything to help out the other 3 players. Why is everyone talking about the Mage and is no one talking about the Rogue? Who did... _nothing._ Literally... nothing. Essentially full health when he left the dungeon. Ergo, he didn't take a single risk to attempt a single thing to try and help out his allies.
One person made a _bad_ play, the tank. Two people made no plays... the Mage _and_ the Rogue. The druid? He has only himself to blame for his death. Could've easily gotten out by knowing his class better and understanding just how f-ing hard it is to catch a druid if that druid does not wish to be caught.

Bad pulls are going to happen. You can play a thousand dungeons perfectly in sync with everyone locked in, it's still going to happen. That's why you have a mage in the party, unless something goes catastrophic or the mage is incompetent, there really should be no deaths in any dungeon even with bad pulls and mistakes.

He bodypulled, failed to LoS the caster and move back from the ramp that led directly to pulling a 2nd pack, backpeddeled, pulled a Marked Boss, got smacked in the back several times while the rogue panicked and told everyone to Run 🤣 This is a fine if example of how Not to Tank. To say nothing of going through the Middle dyring a Trubute run on Hardcore; just Asking for trouble.

Tank Pulled before casters were full at mana. Yamato was in indecisive shot caller. He called for a retreat then changed his mind. They never should have stopped, they should have kept running and they would have lived. Yamato/rouge also did more jumping and running than DPS. Druid jumped into pack on the side and pulled more mobs when they were already overwhelmed. Sara died a hero trying to save a group of numbskulls. Mage didn't do anything wrong, he couldn't have CCed with nova because the bosses were immune.
Could have nova'd a couple mobs, but by the point he could have turned around with Yamato being indecisive, it'd only get a couple; the things that killed people wound up being the extra packs pulled anyway, outside of all his CC range, even if he had tapped his mana gem and robe. A caster was going untanked, mastiffs everywhere and feared to be everywhere, healer with aggro from so many things, and a druid still jumping everywhere between bear and cat while he had aggro, all while Yamato was attacking every now and then and backing back and forth and in and out with 0 CCs used. Sara died a hero. Mage did some minor things wrong, but wouldn't have changed things, just moved the grave markers about 20 feet further to the door.

I think it's his attitude towards the situation that has made people blame him.
Humans are funny in the way they will ignore the facts in order to hate someone they already dislike even more, if possible. People see his attitude and it gets them angry enough to justify lying to themselves about who's at fault here, following the social wave of anger with pack mentality. He basically activated a real life social taunt onto himself, pulling the aggro from people who apologized or worded things better to an audience

The best they could have done was to abandon Snupy after he over-pulled. That way there would only have been 1 death instead of 2.

For the life of me, I can't see how this is difficult. The call was made to run. He left. He turned back like 2 times and was on pace with sara at the ramp till yamato called heals (not shot caller btw) to stop and heal tank. Pirate kept trucking. Its pretty obvious he didn't wanna lose the hours on his char. None of them did. Tank fucked the pull and everything after that was floundering. Hes not obligated to try and save anyone after they botched the pull. End of the day, tank shoulda pulled better and yamato shouldnt have waffled on his not shot caller calls. Run was called, run means everyone out. Could have just lost Ozy and had to re-level one character. Instead they tried to "salvage" it and got two people killed, and are mad the person with all the enchanting mats ran, when told to do so, so the guilds mats didn't get deleted. Someone needs to make a timer for how long it takes to Ozy and/or Yamato to get the next person killed. These two have no idea how to play hardcore.

As a very experienced raid lead, I think this purely falls on Yamdef. Even told people as we worked on things "do my call outs, if I'm wrong and things happen that's my fault." He made a call he regrets, I've been there and made the same mistake yamdef has made here.

@byaialele5916 call was late and matches my description. He was too hasty and didn't aid proactively in the attempted fall back. Yamdef is spinning this to try to save face and avoid the fact his calls solidified both their deaths. He is the raid lead. He has to own when people listened to him. He mad additional calls which lead the healers death because they did respond to him while he was playing risky and careless for them as well. He didn't attempt to keep some pressure on an add to pull it away or kill it/cc. He did exactly as Thor did but doesn't want to admit he's exactly the same. He is their raid lead in this instance. I believe had Thor done what he said Thor was risking his own life as the man's calls already had sealed the healers fate. It sucks but it does fall on Yamdef and if he wanted to be their leader he needs to set his ego aside and own that his calls were the source of every issue in this event. Spreading blame is just trying to alleviate his own guilt. He is trying to demand others feel guilt for listening to him. It's a poor quality for a shotcaller in these communities.

I just cant get enough of this, Tyler and Soda should co lead the guild with Tyler sorting drama and being the face and Soda being the admin. This entire situation is Yamato’s fault. From a military standpoint, you make a call and you commit to it.
Your communication needs to be clear and concise while being efficient, effective, and with a clear endpoint.
As soon as Yamato called run, they should have kept running and committed to the call.
The issue here is that you have an inexperienced player leading your group, that’s how people get killed and that’s how you start a panic.
You make a call and you commit to it, if that call changes then you make sure everyone is on the same page, otherwise commit to the call until the panic subsides then regroup and try again.
We see it all the time in real life and you’re experiencing it now in a game.
What really needs to happen here, in my opinion, is that Yamato needs to take responsibility for his shortcoming as a leader. Pirate admits he could’ve played it better, but the primary issue is not even that.
The primary issue is that you had someone leading this group that shouldn’t have even been there in the first place. All the examples of Mages used were people who could have taken total control of the situation and directed everyone appropriately. That responsibility here was Yamato’s and he failed plain and simple.
Yamato failed to lead two of his guild mates responsibly and he got them killed. Pirate didn’t rat, he followed orders and if you can’t see that then you need better party leaders and raid leaders in your guild. If you can’t take control of your team, you shouldn’t be leading it.
Don't make a callout if you're not confident or sound in your judgement, emotionally compromised rash and uneducated decisions lead to high-risk situations that get people killed and that's exactly what happened here.
Yamato should not have been making any calls here whatsoever. In all honesty, Ozy should have taken better charge of the situation just as well. Snupy panicked and it got him killed, Sara stayed and selflessly saved Ozy, and Pirate saved himself, that's all there is to it.

He literally burned his mana on purpose to roach harder than anyone has roached before him. He could have provided a ton of CC from a safe position. He had more than enough resources. That was probably some of the noobiest mage gameplay I've seen in a long time. Played so many hardcore games where you are risking 100-300hr time investments if not more and you very quickly learn to find the other guys willing to play for the group to risk their own time to potentially save others because when everyone plays like that you're more likely to all come out of it better off. When you find out someone plays for their own time (which is completely fine btw) you tend to let them play with others doing the same. Never mix the two types of players or you end up with this. The guy definitely should've just put his hands up and said he done it to save his own ass and he could've played better. If Salvation's Edge (raid) came out and Bungie told me I'd lose my entire character and vault (7000+ hours of stuff) for dying in it? I wouldn't even load the raid. And I was a pretty good raider when I played. I'm not taking a chance on 7k+ hours of my life, even if it's pixels and ultimately means nothing in the end.

Here's a thought: Pirate is gone, Sara and Snupy are leaving, Ozy has aggro on mobs, Yamato takes the boss away and vanishes. Sara and Snupy heal Ozy while the three of them leave. Oh look, everyone gets to live and Pirate needed to be there for JACK SHIT. They had the tools to save everyone, Yamadork dropped the toolbox and got two more people killed.
Worst case, just leave Ozy in the mess he made, only one person dies. Still better then what happened.

Thor not even trying to check the situation when he was already more than 2 screens away is definitely on him, but otherwise the most important point Tyler actuallly made here is that Thor barely knew these people.
Soda was going on about how it's perfectly ok to blizzard or nova again there, because "you know the tank is sundering the boss and there is 0 chance you pull aggro" but honestly, that is only an assumption you can safely make when you know your tank and know how calm he is in these situations.
If I did this with a bunch of random people, I hear someone go "run" and everyone turning to run, then I would absolutely not have confidence that the tank is still trying to maintain aggro of the boss. So at least from that angle the whole "I did not want to get close to a boss that could onetap me, just in order to try and cc." argument did make sense.
I think what turned the aftermath into such a shitshow was that after everyone already had bad vibes because of the first run, everyone was perfectly set to blow up over nothing and the idea that Yamato 1. made the call to run 2. then went back on that and called it salvageable, getting the priest killed and afterwards 3. immediately singled out Thor was already bad enough and Thor having an already massive ego and not wanting to admit that he just let 2 people die sealed the deal.
I'd imagine if Yamato simply shut up there for a second and didn't start pointing fingers the moment they were out of the dungeon, there would have been a better chance at having Thor admit fault. Hell, Yamato brings up "having humanity" over and over again, but considering Ozy was the one that fucked up the pull, I hope that Yamato realizes Sara having that humanity and actually listening to him when he claimed the situation was salvageable is what led to them, rather than the person that made the mistake dying, so the preaching seems kinda odd.

However wanting to destroy peoples livelihood because they blamed you for 2 character-deaths is the true rat behaviour here and I hope Thor thinks about just how much that part damaged his reputation, because the ban threats are the one thing here that go far beyond just "people being mad about a 20 year old game".
It is more than 2 character-deaths, it is Thor getting hate-traind, view botted and getting death threats both for WoW and for his IRL life along with the same death threat happening to his mods. After a streamer pushes their community for that behaviour, imo it is not that unbelievable that he is pushing for the banning of those streamers. Is Thor completely right? I’ve heard a few takes on this. Granted, I haven’t touched WoW in years; to me Pirate is getting a lot of undue hate and blame. DM is a notorious pull threat. As much as anything other threat aspect in DM. From the footage, the reactions and initial conversation from where I stand: the close call before the “climax” of the issue said a lot. At the point where they made it out-that should have been the pause, plan, and regroup stage. This was not done. Then there was time-constraint, a fumble on standard safe play. And then a push deeper, panic, run call given, half-followed, half-assed attempt to jump back into it. Resources were drained before the problem peaked. Players don’t understand mechanics, “you have enough mana”, don’t understand threat calculations, don’t understand following a run order, panic pulling more mobs. Character deaths, and then trying to blame a survivor. It’s dumb. The “it’s salvageable” was kind of all I needed to hear. It wasn’t. The follow up of “snowball” when the threat is resistant. Pirate was in the right. People are mad that he was good at being right (quick disengage). In hardcore, I would not have done anything differently from Pirate. The run call was given. He was just good, utilized blink. Legit not his fault the others half-assed tried to run face-tank.
Yamato is the type of guy that gets your team killed while coincidentally not being the shot caller but yells the loudest.

Honestly at that point, I'm out regardless of what class I'm on. You pull 3 packs and one of those is a boss you were told was walking towards you but you just say there going "DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR", I'm gone. Have fun in that grave you dug.
The 'this is still salvageable' is 100% cope and denial. 2 mobs and a boss = time to go, PERIOD. 'frost nova?' - theres a boss. bosses are immune to that shit. The only bad call here was to not immediately make the maddest dash to the entrance. They stopped and stutter-fought every opportunity. 2 deaths was a mid outcome. Dashing out would've saved everyone. The stutter-fighting almost cost more deaths, and had Pirate stayed: everyone else was clearly unsure. Him staying would have emboldened them to stay, and most likely would have resulted in MORE deaths, if not a complete party wipe. Anyone defending yamato at this point is just a dickrider, and honestly, if a game is causing this much drama in your life (whether involved or spectator)--- perhaps, consider another game and/or streamer.
Imo it's a fairly simple play. Like you say they need to make a clear call to dash out. As they all kite back towards the entrance, the tank needs to keep aggro on the boss. The boss doesn't hit thaaat hard so priest and druid use hots and shield on the tank as they run. Mage frost Nova the mobs. But then again it's HC and simple plays go out the window in emergency situations due to fear and panic...
I don't think it's fair to blame Pirate for this. Let's say Pirate and Ahmpy had swapped places. Would Ahmpy have saved it? For sure. But Pirate isn't a pro mage so it can't really be expected of him. I would place the blame on Ozy. Bad strategy to go through the middle. Bad idea to pull a pack as the boss is about to patrol back. Bad idea to not pull the pack further back. Bad calls during the fight. Can't afford to be this nonchalant in a tribute run.

The tank face pulled a pack he couldn't really see with mobs behind him. He even managed to pull the boss. Like, you can say what should have happened during a panic, but it shouldn't happen to begin with. More careful tanking was needed.
