Today’s the day the Yoshi Market finally opens, and there all Yoshies can buy and sell the greatest goods like apple pies and fruit baskets, with some games they can play there, too! Also being showcased is the world’s spiciest, hottest Dash Pepper, but Yoshi doesn’t know that! Two Shy Guys who are always messing with Yoshi vandalize the sign to claim it’s the world’s most sweet, aromatic, succulent apple! The Yoshi festival is cut short.

Yeah, this took a while to make. It’s over a minute long at 24 fps, so that’s no surprise. Sorry for the inactivity lately!

But if it makes you feel any better, all animators have lots of small test animations and short projects leading up to a larger project. And trust me: a lot of amazing animators’ earliest animations weren’t great at all! Starting small and honing certain skills in a short amount of time is most efficient, so don’t feel bad about making animations that are just “wastes of time”-they add up! :)

Usually it’s most effective to reference actual humans, whether it’s for their proportions or movements. Pretty much all art, like comics or anime, do this! Though it is easier said than done...
