    7:14 I feel like an idiot... I SOMEHOW missed how to check the pix on the camera screen.... I just looked through a manual really quick and I don't see it... So THANK YOU!! I use my phone to check my test pictures... Nice review! Thanks!
    Instead of tree straps I run a bungee cord through the cable holes and make loops on the ends and then use another bungee around the tree to hold it there. Angling the camera with a stick is easy (if you don't have the bracket on a camera).

      Your welcome!! I'm glad I could help you out! Yea the screen definitely comes in handy. Thanks for the bungee tip. The strap gets the job done, it's just tough sometimes to find the perfect tree.

    Thanks for your review. I completely agree with your description about the camera and image quality, one of the best certainly. However, I must advertise to everyone that pays attention to the mode Timelapse+, because after several days of settings choice, I have no response with respect to some functions that are not working well. Tested in two cameras,Timelapse+ is not able to work well; there is no compatibility in the setting between the Timer (Capture time) and TL period. Paid attention to that! Mode Timelapse setting with "Allday" cancel folder photos and so motion photos are only find in timelapse folder (with the mess to find one on the secuency), and if you set mode timelapse and "1, 2 and so on hours" you will get only motion photos at the folder "photos" and non timelapse recording. I know it sounds complicated, but try for yourself. I do not know if it is only for this model of camera, but apart from the tricky of work with TLS extension, the impossibility to inactivate motion during timelapse (really annoying when you want timelapse only!!), that camera clock stop during the setting (check that!) and its complicate timelpase setting, I agree that DCL pro is a very good camera. I hope a software upgrade is coming.

      Did you download the free Timelapse Viewer Plus software from Brownings website? It is under the customer service tab. The Timelapse Viewer Plus software compiles all your images into a slide show so you don't have to manually click threw them all. This sounds like it will help with some of the issues you are having. The Timelapse feature is not one that I am familiar with. It's also not a feature that I use. If I did, I could help try and figure out what is going on. Always keep an eye out on the firmware updates on Brownings website under the customer service tab then, software updates. If all else fails, you can call into Brownings customer service as well. I hope that helps please let me know. Thanks.

      @@Outdoord Hello, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes, I did. I got the software and I am afraid that selecting and picking those photos that you really need is something that I do not realize how to do yet. Is perfect to have a slide of timelapse, but if you get 20 pics from a dog that crosses the line, and your goal is the background timelapse, I do not know how to repair this. However, most possible is that this issue is easy to work on, but maybe secondary if I do not get the right setting first. But I am in touch for a week with customer service, and soon I get results back to show what's really going on.

    Great review 👍 Browning has some great choices, can you recommend there best priced cam that doesn’t sacrifice batt. Life and video quality.

      Thanks! My favorite Browning Trail Camera models would be something in the spec ops line. I have several videos on my channel that review some of them individually. If I had to pick one for battery life and video quality it would be the Spec Ops Elite HP5. It is a great all around camera. I also have a video on that specific camera if you want to see it in action!

    I also purchased this camera model (Strike Force Pro DCL). Daytime photo and video quality is exceptional, but I'm extremely disappointed with the poor nighttime quality. It's nowhere near the videos I find on the internet and I can't figure out what's causing this huge difference

It discusses target proximity or distance, rain and fog situations but mine are not related to any such special situation. In short, the quality of the night captures is equally poor regardless of the conditions analyzed in that pdf. I will post some examples of such captures and put a link in the comments

    • @Outdoord
      @Outdoord  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@p9raceway759 I don't. There are some videos up you can watch on them though. I live fairly close to where I deploy my cameras so I don't need them. However we do get some bad winters here as well. I don't think you can go wrong trying one though it will save you money in the long run on batteries.

    Nice review. I run a wildlife TH-cam channel and use mostly Brownings and have been awaiting a decent replacement for the recon force advantage, which has been their best camera by far. This camera has hope with the wide angle lens like the advantage. However if you note, when the camera switches to night mode and to the other lens, it’s not the same angle, it’s greatly reduced to far more telephoto. I shoot 100% video and that’s what I was interested in. The night shots appear clear, unlike the piece of garbage that was the Patriot. The Patriot has to be the worst camera ever made by Browning. So disappointed in that thing. The HP4/5 is the best I’ve found since the advantage and will give this one a try. Maybe they should have named this one the Patriot apology. I’m also curious if it shoots 60fps, that’s a must, and also wondering what the camera voltage is with 6 batts. I run all my cameras in an external battery. Buying AAs for 15 cameras is like a car payment. lol. Thanks for the review.

    • @Outdoord
      @Outdoord  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hear you on the double As. Im hoping Browning comes out with a rechargeable lithium pack that slides into the battery tray. That seems like that's the future of the market anyway. I think it would save everyone money. It would also save a ton of batteries. I liked the Patriot for pictures it took really clean and crisp close up photos. For video, I would go HP4/5. Im not Sure on the voltage with the amount of batteries you have. Shoot customer service an email on that and the fps. I think you will be happy with the Spec Ops line, either the elites or the Edge is also just as good in my opinion.

      @gamecamwildlife9158 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Outdoord I like the edge picture quality, but the field of view is way too narrow. It’s good for day shots over 100’. I looked up the manual to get the voltage and it says 12V aux input, so that’s an option. Because of that, 12v hardwired into the battery tray should work. I’d guess there’s a 6V regulator off the tray on the circuit board. It also shoots 60fps @1080, same as their other cameras. Blaine’s Farm and Fleet has them on sale for $149. I picked one up. Thanks again.

      @@p9raceway759 I don't like it at all. The day footage is grainy and the night is over contrast. it's basically the patriot in a different box. Get the HP4 or HP5. Their dual lens cameras are garbage. If you go to my channel, there's one shot with a salt block in it (there are two cameras with salt blocks) The camera type is in the name, so you can see the footage. The sensors for those dual lens cameras are junk. There's 2 or 3 shots in this video at 10:29: th-cam.com/video/LPUdggPFGLQ/w-d-xo.html

    This browning pro dcl does not took video on my bears while i sat on the tree stand. The height on my trail cam 4 feet . I was sitting on the tree stand and watching bears eating my bait then when i decided to go down and check my brandnew sd card . It only took video when i remove the steel cage browning but does not took video on my bears. I got it brandnew and 3 days running in the bush. All set the right track but does not took videos on my bears.
