I remember a time when Maxx Unlimited was one of the last songs left to be triple A’d - one of the most coveted and greatest accomplishments in dance games - now top players can almost do it in their sleep! These guys are so sick at their craft I don’t know what to do with myself
I shed a tear when they were going down that menu to pick a song. So many memories came back of when I first started playing. I left off on Heavy (8-9 step max). That was about 7 years ago.
MrxxNightmare same, I've been trying to retrain myself to play flat footed but when the song gets fast i always end up using my toes again without thinking about it 😭
ted cruise You make a good point, I just noticed that these guys play footed and hit the edge of the panels. Then again they have years of experience and are most likely taller than me. I can play most 7's and 8's without a problem. 9's in rare cases. But I'm still learning.
9's on the old scale? you're on a great track. but i'm like 5'7" and i play flat-footed; height shouldn't be a big issue. also, bar or no bar, balance comes with time, and you'll learn to play in the circle. flat-footing absolutely helps your MA though.
The tournament score is based on the EX scoring system, which is 3 points for marvellous/OK, 2 points for perfect and 1 point for great. The letter grade is based on number of greats/goods/boos/misses.
For context: The Reflex was a Qualifier at Storm 2018, which meant that everybody who entered the DDR Extreme tournament had to play that song during qualifying, and in turn it got overplayed to the point where it practically became a meme in and of itself. That, and combined with the fact that it is one of, if not THE worst charts in the game, and you can see why it became the meme of the tournament

Chris, after winning 2 songs in the grand finals: "Is that it?"
admstyles I always thought match rules was win by 2 🙈
Wait, so no yelling cheat bar? 😜❤
I can't believe people went for sfv when there was ddr at ceo

"all I hear is speedcore... its not even from the ITG cabs...." LMFAO
I'm not surprised Chris won the tournament. He won the DDR world championship last year.
EXTREME has the best songs.
that Sakura was completely unfair. Chris is way too good at DDR/ITG.
Lol at when Little Matt is like "fuck this" in the end stream of Paranoia Survivor and then just decides to double step the entire thing.
The ddr extreme starter pack isn’t complete until he plays A.
After CEO Gaming and DDR Storm 2018, i'm absolutely done with The Reflex
chris is too good!
I really have to work on flat footing, I play on my toes. It's bad because I because I put myself at risk of falling while playing with no bar.

Tom Armstrong sometimes during really fast complex crossovery streams/death runs being on your toes isn’t THAT bad

ted cruise I can play 7's with no bar, I'm the same height as you. I'll just keep flat-footing until I'm comfortable.
lmao the sideswitch on sakura
Wanted one of them to pick Waka laka so bad for shits and giggles lol
Matt AAA'd Daikenkai vs Chris's AA, yet numerically scored lower. How does that work?

Amazing
I had no idea there's a Duran Duran song in DDR
I had no clue Kevbo still played
What was the prize for the finalists?
Hello. Im curious. What are the rules for the tourney of DDR Extreme Pro?

The extreme started pack isn't complete until you've started with butterfly.
marvelous on sakura step is legit more impressive than AAA unlimted lol
the dude in the back playing with his sock is pissing me off
I don't get the whole 'The Reflex' thing. Can someone explain?
