Dubai’s $30 Billion Dollar Abandoned City

  • Dubai is all about these megaprojects. They want to develop the cities of the future. In many ways, it seems like that’s exactly what the city is going to do. They are in the process of developing their own minicity inside of Dubai that has all of a luxury city’s finest features condensed into a small area of sheer excellence.
The Meydan City development looks to compete on several grounds to have the coolest minicity in the entire world. Meydan One is the proposed mall that is said to be the biggest one in the whole world. Then there’s the tower in the center of it. What would be the tallest residential property ever built.
This city would have all of the coolest entertainment features. It features cool things such as a huge ski slope, a go kart track, giant imax theaters, stages for performers, theater spaces and pretty much every other cool thing you can imagine. This city is not messing around. Not that Dubai has ever done anything the small way.
Unfortunately, none of this is likely to continue. Despite the fact that it was supposed to be completed in 2020, the entire project has had some speed bumps that might throw the whole thing off the tracks forever. A massive amount of debt, a worldwide pandemic and perhaps too much ambition has perhaps destroyed this entire thing. Only time will tell.
So which feature of this perhaps never to be seen development is the coolest? Only one way to find out!

8.4 billion square feet for 30 billion?? That's less than $4/ft!! Man we can only dream of those prices here in north America.

What about Palm Jabel Ali? Is that will be complete one day?

Palm Jebel Ali was relaunched in early 2023. It was originally put on hold in 2008 due to the financial crisis, but with Dubai's booming property market, the project was revived with a revised masterplan.

Dubai should focus on infrastructure, since it is sorely lacking, and desperately needed. The Burj Khalifa is a joke. The tallest building in the world isn't even piped into a main sewer system and must rely on septic tanks. It must transport all its waste, off site, on convoys of lorries, to a processing facility, on a daily basis.

Crazy to think about 80 billion dollars to create this super futuristic city and buildings, while "let's go Brandon" swipes the pen weekly handing this money out every week...... Smh. Wake up people.

Waste $80 dollars to finance another playground for the wealthy as opposed to spending money on a national emergency with ordinary people needing a financial life line your priorities are twisted and your line of thinking is no better either.

"But as many as received Him (JESUS), to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." (JOHN 1:12 NKJV)
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (JOHN 3:16-17 NKJV)
By God's GRACE, the gift of Salvation and Eternal Life is available to all. You can RECEIVE it. You can REJECT it. May you choose wisely. ✝️
