I will be visiting my mother at Lake Port Square in August and hope to visit some of these as I plan for my retirement this time next year. I’m going to Florida soon to retire. I’ll be 61. I wanted the Villages just for the social/entertainment aspect. I see nice homes at other community’s. I don’t need everything TV offers but I would like to stay active and busy. I’m not a golfer. Any ideals of 55 living with more than golf and swimming? Thanks. I will be paying cash.

Would appreciate knowing how far this is from the Villages (in terms of driving distance...15 minutes, 30 minutes, etc)?
26 miles ... 31 minutes according to that little Google button. Just ask Google "how far is Highlands from the Villages,FL".
