I haven't tried any other Fender Champions, but I believe a lot of Fender amps they hang the Champion name on are solid states. This 600 has tubes, which is far superior to solid state in my humble opinion. This Champion also I think is popular for tinkerers that like to mod their gear out. I actually ended up selling this amp. Personally, I never looked back, but I have no doubt that it would serve another gearheads purposes.
Thanks for watching! You probably could do that - but, I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure. I actually sold this amp a while back, so I can't try for you. I probably wouldn't plug a microphone into it personally. I think there are better options out there to run a vocal mic through. That's just me, though.
Im always curious about gear especially tube amps cause when I first started playing I was told that was the only way but still yet haven’t owned one myself
I really dig tube amps. I have a solid state that serves as my living room/practice amp, but for any serious applications like a gig or recording I go with tubes. For me, it feels more of an authentic sound and one that I can manipulate more. Plus, they get loud! LOL.
love it, just got me one, used 10 hours, looking like new
Very cool. Enjoy!
Just looking for champion videos 2020 with hindsight you about to get a whole lot of additional practice time
😂 yeah, totally. How innocent I was then. 😂
I actually think this might be good for a mellow jazz tone...doesn’t seem to overemphasize any frequency...some might consider that dull. I like it
You're probably right! Roll back the tone knobs on your guitar and you're in the zone.
Sounds pretty good! You can’t beat the portability! You can “get loud” and not piss off the neighbors! Nice flannel BTW.
Word up. I actually sold this amp a while back. A good little unit though.
Ah pre craziness 2020. Those were the days…
How naïve I was...
@@JohnBudnikBand good demo by the way. Not sure if you’ve ever tried an 8 inch speaker champ (any of the iterations) and how does this amp compare?

nice video man! i saw that there are two channels (instrument and microphone) right? so can you in fact plug microphone there? like ts/trs cable ones?

Just when I was gonna ask what you are recording with the answer is there haha
Glad I could help, brotha!

i played a sim of it on ampliube and was wondering why it sounded so bad imo. it breaks up at such a low volume and has a washed out tone to me
Interesting. I never had a problem, but I should mention that I did sell this amp since I made this video. Was ready for something different.
@@JohnBudnikBand do you mind me asking what you got for it? I might try to get one but not real sure of it’s market value. Thanks!
@@duderdudeedoo1984 I got $200 for it, which is what I originally paid if I remember correctly.
