I always played DS, with the nerfs i changed to LC, built relic and now ancient 5x3+1, really liked the playstyle of spec/crit LC so im going to keep playing it (spent too much already) but im really happy DS is back and might try it some time in the future, i just hope LC stays strong.
Im on same page as you. I played DS, now I have full ancient 5x3+1 setup on my SS alt for LC and theres no way I would invest into 3 accs to be DS back again xD

So the deathstrike build stays the same as before?, i ask because i stopped playing before the loyal companion buff and never changed my DS build, now i dont know if i have to switch builds ir stay the same. the only thing i know i have to change is blade storm into the new skill.
its only the 2nd day of PTR but , since Ds is somewhat reverting to it previous state , there isn't a whole lot of "new" theories . better to still wait
How do u think of keen blunt for DS sharpshooter? Ur main dmg skills, snipe, hawk shot and charged shot all have crit dmg tripods on them, u can only get like 10-12% increase dmg for those skills.
oh yea this is a pretty popular Question . For 3 x 5 its actually an easy Replace . Adrenaline 3 > KBW 3 , Cursed / Hitmaster yields better results too . The problem is 3 x 5 x 1 . taking adr 3 is great and all but the lvl1 options ... for other engravings are pretty horrible . compared to their lvl3 and lvl1 Adr counter part . 3 x 5 x 2 however ... lvl2 options are pretty decent / okay . So it really depends on What stone u have and Bracelet . Death strike is alittle confusing to set up now , since ur bracelet and stone pretty much can change the optimal build u can acquire
Stealth patch . They didn't put it in the notes but , u can't apply death strike and loyal companion as debuffs anymore , DS overwrites lc as a buff & and lc can only be applied after ds expires .

I've seen build utilizing Bladestorm instead of the Arrow Wave and I think it actually might be stronger considering how often you can explode Hawk then. BS deals like what 15-20% dmg less than Arrow Wave but DS makes it worth it I think although hitting full BS might not be easy. So much testing required again... I think they might actually leave it. The standard DS build with lvl 7 gems deals maybe 10% more dmg then crit/spec LC? It only gets ridiculous with level 10 gems. That's where the dmg becomes crazy although the Snipe feels like Surge. Missing crit hurts like hell lol. With crit you deal 6x more damage but holy shit finally DS is back. Can't wait to switch even if they nerf it a bit
oh yea tried that bladestorm on and off stream . It's actually Solid damage wise , just that it's a bit conditional for u to go near the boss and position well .
@@Tofuen Btw did you try removing Atomic Arrow, putting buff on Sharpshooter and running Bladestorm instead? I know you get less damage on Sharpshooter but with Bladestorm you then gain free additional DS which should deal more damage. Also 16s buff instead of 8s from Atomic Arrow should also allow for more flexibility in fight

also have to sacrifice using a swift ring. Hopefully they tune the attack speed, maybe the reaper treatment and give 10% atk speed when sending out hawk. Also AoA 1 vs Adrenaline 1 perhaps?
The changes are nice but they really need to speed up that snipe charge, that is super slow tbh. Specially considering youre running 550 swiftness and leg galewind on it.
think it was intentional on their end , Thats the New tripod for Snipe that replaces Ghille suit on the 3rd row , it gives 60%dmg and 160% cdmg instead of 40% crit now . [ For DS only , doesnt work on LC ] the thing is the perfect zone shrinks to 1.5sec - 2 secs instead of the 1 - 2 sec interval u get on snipe . Salvation + Yearning usually solves this problem , But in solo instances or places with no crit synergy , Hallucination is King in terms of dmg .

@@Paine981 you cant use sinergy in sharpshooter because you will miss the new tripod that gives attack speed and damage on sharpshooter.

damn so we gotta use hallucination now. sucks we can't use crit Tripods anymore but eh. opens up for claymore mine / dm-42 somewhat I guess
