Fun fact: Catapults with explosive ammunition destroy flametal nodes, so using a catapult instead of a pickaxe, you can get 30-35 ore from each node. Also, the initial blast of the troll staff (whatever it's called) can be used to harvest about half of a copper or silver node, even when buried. Not perfect, but when you don't want to waste your time, it's pretty satisfying. ;-)
Apparently the "Deep North" at the top of the map is the next expansion. So it's very likely something from this map will give you a heat source against major cold in the north.
weapons are pretty bad how they are now, they desperately need a damage buff weapons from previous biomes shouldn't be doing more damage than biomes after them
Not a fan of the green gem stun chance. RNG is never cool, eapecially when you need it the most in combat. It should be more like to stun the enemy after 3-5 consecutive hits so you know how to play around it instead of swinging like maniac until your stamina bar is empty praying for a proc.
The staff of fracturing seems pretty underwhelming from it's effect. Maybe deadly in the dark forest, lol. The nature staff is pretty meh too. Useful if you cast them en masse and they can grab agro... maybe. So basically we got one *useful* staff with a downside. We needed a ball lightning staff, hehe. I haven't seen anybody use the skeleton summoning staff since you can upgrade it further. Has that had any boost?
Ember and Frost staves are still the way to go... all the new ones feel just meh, you use them because they are new, but thats it... the nature one just for looks, if you like Roleplay as a druid :)
@@Amatsuichi The one that summons undead trolls seems pretty nice for certain situations. The other staves need a buff to be anything other than pointless.
I confess that I've been spending my gaming time in Baldur's Gate 3 for the past few months...this stuff looks super-cool. I think it's time to update my game and spend Sunday afternoon back in Valheim. :)
I stopped playing when i got to the plains years ago. But by the looks of it i need to pick the game up again when this patch gets released to the live game because it looks awsome.
I've been having so much fun with the storm bersekir axes, but after fighting the boss I wonder if they'll buff their damage a little. Boss has as much health as the queen and you basically win by chip damage. As it stands, mistwalker is as good as even level 2 versions of ashlands weapons, and that doesn't feel right so I hope they buff damage numbers and not proc chance. The only melee I would say is noticeably better than mistwalker is the bersekir axes
any idea what it actually needs to craft the berserker axes? internet seems to be clueless, and obviously, i am too. can't craft em at all. and i have no idea what i am missing
LOOKING for someone to play vanilla valheim with from start to end boss.(also up to take time to build etc) (preferably new player that needs to learn progression wise)
Haha its kind of a long running joke on my channel but also it's good because I use that character any time I'm using cheats. Then no one can accuse me of trying to hide the fact I'm using cheats to make my guides 🙂

It would be funny if Dyrnwyn is a small radius heat source, i.e. walk into the mountains without getting cold

Ashland is fantastic, the magic guy in the trailer made me go full magic in the ashland, and im loving it, so much fun😁

@@Capper_Bra axes may seem fast but they have very slow recovery and for the spear, most mobs in ashland are resistant to pierce.

That fire sword will probably be OP in the next expansion for the Deep North. Well, you would think it would be, given what fire does to ice.

The flame sword is the same as the standard felmetal sword. So not worth the effort.
the dyrnwin is an interestong item, since there is only 1 of each piece per world, its going to be hell of a race in a server for who gets it
