Looked like you were at a high enough elevation to be in the clouds. With that, and the use of the overlay filter in the video, it looked like you were on Mars.
The terrain, fog, and the cement structures remind me a lot of the old Nike Missile sites in the Marin Headlands just to the north of the Golden Gate Bridge. I like the how the Sepia overlay gives it all an otherworldly dystopian look. It reminds me a bit of what it was like here it the SF Bay Area in September of 2020 when both the smoke from surrounding wildfires, and our marine layer blocked out the sunlight, and made the skies all dark orange. This video has a very similar unsettling yet beautiful feel to it.
Clan of Xymox has been a Goth standard for over 40 years who began on the fringes of independent music, beginning with the immortal 4AD Label, that openly gave an advantage to many bands who were outside the old mainstream community ― Something for which, all the Goth-Kyd's of that time (like myself) felt they also were experiencing. Modern "Dark-wave" fans are finally getting a properly introduced to Xymox's charms with 'Exodus' and they appear to be waxing for more music that withstands the test of time; not-to-mention, Ronny has lost none of his potency and effect upon his maturing years. Clan of Xymox is an exceptional standard for anyone's music collection, but for Goth's there's simply no compromise to be had, if, they wish to be taken seriously. My first impression of them was with their song "Muscovite Mosquito" on a This Mortal Coil('s) album release 'Lonely Is An Eyesore', but firstly it appeared on Xymox's 'Nothings Shocking' second EP, which is a venerable prize indeed for any serious collector, if, you can find it anywhere. Don't miss a chance to go watch one of their concerts, if possible, because Clan of Xymox is much like Dead Can Dance with their infrequent performances. "Just as you need food for the body to function: Goth's need music to feed the soul, in order to shine brightly" ― Raven Shadow 'Exodus' is a fantastic album, so I must own it.
